"We stayed one night before we had to head to the airport. Proximity to the airport is excellent. The hotel’s amenities are fantastic. The pool and rooftop bar were marvelous with OUTSTANDING service from ALL staff. Very welcoming to weary bedraggled travelers despite being a chic hang for the rest of the patrons. DJ was spinning poolside and basketball was on the TV- great drinks exceptional tapas menu and such a vibe! Will stay again!"

"No parking room is okay but not great for money"

"The first night the hotel room flooded at 3 a.m., due to a broken pipe. We moved to another room. Our books were drenched. Some of our clothing was also drenched. One night would be refunded, but only if we claimed it from Hotels.com. The AC did not keep the main area cool. After reporting it the AC never got better. There were granola crumbs behind the bathroom door. There were also crumbs between the sheets of one bed! So, we slept on top of the beds, not under the sheets. There were no sink stoppers. Bathroom sink was crammed with either tissues or a lump of soap. The phone did not work. The light switches were beyond grimy. And the absolute worst was the 4-gang outlet next to the head of a bed, which was missing the outlet cover. And there were cords plugged in. What if these had gotten wet, or what if a child stuck their fingers in the outlet and got burned? Safety should be a primary concern. It was not. When leaving at 4:30 am, there was no one to check us out so after waiting 10 minutes, we left a note and went on our way. We are reasonable people, but this experience was beyond the pale. Wish we could add all photos here. We will have many more visits to Phoenix in the next 4 years. I can guarantee you that we won’t be staying at this facility. "

"I hesitated on posting this because I wanted to resolve privately, but the hotel has been unresponsive to both email and phone call. Our stay was awesome up until Friday. The people who work there are great, the breakfast was good, the amenities like free drinks, the room etc., all were enjoyed. Our issue came the last night when the hotel was evacuated for a CO2 leak. I understand the difficult position the staff was put in, with the leak more than likely being out of their control and really the responsibility lies with the hotel itself to properly service their equipment. My issue is I have been trying to contact the hotel for a refund of our Friday night stay. We were placed in a separate hotel after a process in which we were evacuated, told to wait outside, then told to wait in a neighboring building, then told it would be resolved shortly, only to find that upon initiating communication with the hotel via message, that we needed to return to gather our belongings. We then were escorted up to our room, asked to pack and check out, and were given a stay at another hotel. I am not dismissing the efforts of the staff on duty, or the awesome fire fighters, or even the other hotel. What I have been trying to talk with someone about since and have been ignored is a refund of our Friday night stay for the original Embassy Suites. The hotel we were comped for is for the trouble and potential harm experienced. All I would like is to speak with someone in regards to Fri night."

"After driving for 13 hours I was excited to find a cheap option in phoenix. Pictures definitely fooled me… I walked in to my room and went to plug in my cell phone charger… was greeted by a trail of cockroaches running in and out of the baseboard. Thank god I didn’t unzip any of my luggage. Refund process was pretty easy thank god"

"Booked this spot for $204 thinking I’d get a decent night’s rest, a shower, and a general sense of “I’ll probably survive.” Technically… I got 2 out of 3. Arrival felt less like check-in and more like entering a VIP event where the dress code is “follow the car in front of you and hope for the best.” Gated? Yes. Secure? Let’s call it… optimistic. Bonus entertainment included distant gunshots, tire screeches, police lights like a disco ball and some very entrepreneurial night walkers making their rounds. Don’t make eye contact if you aren’t look for a short term roommate for the night. The room itself had personality. The mattress, for example, tried to fold me into it like a taco the moment I sat down. I’m not that heavy, but it clearly had ambitions. Sheets were bug-free (huge win), though they did feature a few artistic burn holes…abstract expressionism, cigarette edition. Cockroaches were very kind to stay outside, or at least not make an appearance inside so for that I am thankful. The bathroom? A visual experience. I considered showering but ultimately decided my shoes deserved better, and my dignity agreed. End result: I slept in my clothes, hood up, headphones on, door locked like Fort Knox, and one eye open like a paranoid raccoon. Woke up alive, car still there, and honestly… that’s a successful stay. Would I recommend it? Only if you enjoy a little adrenaline with your overnight accommodations. Not for the faint of heart, but definitely unforgettable. "
