We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Ibis Borehamwood hotel!!! I am disabled and in a wheelchair, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They carried our cases to our room, pulled out the third bed for my son for me and carries our cases to my car for ya on check out. It was my sons birthday, and the staff overheard us mention this and came out with a birthday cake for him even though we didn’t order for one, they were totally amazing and I will definitely stay here again next year!!! Lovely hotel but the superior rooms are badly in need of refurbishment. I expected by its title, a superior room, that’s what I paid for, but these are no better than a standard room in need of refurbishment. We stayed here 5 years ago and the showers have the same broken tiles with old wooden seats, dirt between the cracks of the broken tiles. There’s no excuse for this in a hotel charging these prices.
That said, when I mentioned our disappointment we were upgraded to a better room and that...

From start to finish Freya Maloy made everything so easy. She was the receptionist at the time of my check in. She very kindly organised a cak for my sons birthday. I was blown away by her kindness and her kind gesture. That is what you call customer service, going above and beyond when you don't even need to. Thank you Freya for making our stay so relaxed amd so simple. Credit where it is due.

Absolutely loved this hotel ❤️ from the moment we arrived until we left, the staff and service are exceptional as is the hotel and facilities. Couldn’t fault anything at all. The best hotel we’ve stayed in in London and I’ve tried many of the 5 star hotels here! The breakfast was epic! Honestly first class all round! We were given alcoholic welcome drinks on arrival

Although I have stayed at 5 star hotels on several occasions, I was amazed by the standard of service of this hotel. All the hotel staff were extremely polite and gave the true meaning to the word "valued" customer. From the first time I entered the hotel it was a different experience all together. Despite the good service at other 5 star hotels, I could always find a small detail missing. I am not picky, but when it comes to top service I know what to expect, and notice when something, as small...

Can't get a better location, near to Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Sq, Buckingham Palace...the hotel itself is immaculate, the double room was of a reasonable size, the bed so comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Shower was excellent, complimentary drinks on arrival and cookies and cranberry juice / water in the room. Downsides..not many, view was terrible and there was a slightly unusual smell in the room which you only really noticed first entering.

First impression of the hotel was not great as the lobby and lift are very small. However I am happy with the room and found the staff extremely helpful generally. It’s great to hear the staff telling American tourists about the history of royalty :)
