"A really great hotel within easy walking distance of the shops and eateries. Friendly staff, tastt breakfast, our room was comfortable and well-equipped with comolimentary G&T! We had a balcony over looking the gardens and we used the bijou space when we arrived, all rather lovely."

"The room was very clean and well maintained and the comfort of the bed was amazing. Check in staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was Self service but superb. We didn’t use the spa on this occasion as we were there to attend a wedding but have used it previously and it is top notch. My only bug bear is that due to not booking direct I had to pay for parking at £12. This didn’t sit right with me because if using the spa, parking is free, if I had just attended the wedding and had not stayed the night parking would have been free. So then when I give them more custom of staying the night I had to pay because I hadn’t booked directly."

The Belsfield Hotel

"All excellent ! Only disapointment on this visit was checking in , there was only one person on reception and it was about 15.10 pm when I had to wait about 25 minutes to check in because there was a group of tourists checking in together. At that time of day there should have been more than one person on reception !"
Abbey House Hotel

"This hotel holds memories for us so it was nice to return for a special occasion 6 years after our first visit. We booked a suite which was in one of the turrets at the back of the building and had lovely views over the garden from the huge wrap-around windows. The on-site restaurant, Oliver's, is really nice and the food is delicious! It's very reasonably priced too for the quality you get and have a great cocktail and wine list. It's a really nice atmosphere whether you're sat in the bar, restaurant or orangery area and the staff are friendly and attentive, but not constantly hovering so you can enjoy your meal without feeling watched over. We look forward to returning to Abbey House in another 6 years!"

"We have stayed at this hotel several times & as usual staff were friendly & hotel lovely. Room was immaculate with everything we needed. Breakfast delicious with good choice of food. Only slight issue was poor shower. Wouldn’t stop us returning though !"
Lakeside Hotel & Spa

"Nice hotel. Great seating outside on the lake and in conservatory- would be better if more seating in conservatory. Pub/bar area itself is very dark and dingy. Seats outside the bar area were nice but not enough - some of the drinks were dear -£16 for a large wine! Food in brasserie was nice and staff nice too. Parking free at the hotel and very close to the lake boats snd train. Lovely place near the lake and would stay there again if in area."
Woodlands Guest House Windermere

"The staff was very friendly and recommended the sight seeing view points. The breakfast was very good and you have the option to choose the vegan menu. The soundproof was not so good though, we could hear the noice from floors upstairs late night and early morning."
