My experience has been extremely disappointing and far below the standard one would expect—especially considering the amount paid for the room. During my stay, I discovered a mouse inside the room. This was not only alarming but completely unacceptable from a hygiene and safety standpoint. A hotel room should be a clean, secure environment, and encountering a rodent raises significant concerns about overall cleanliness and maintenance. I was also traveling with my child, which makes this situation even more concerning. I have no way of knowing what the rodent may have touched or contaminated within the room, and this created additional stress and worry about our health and safety. This situation caused considerable discomfort and distress, and it has significantly impacted my stay. Given the severity of the issue, I do not believe the room met even basic accommodation standards. Considering the circumstances and the high price paid, I am requesting a full refund for my stay. "This hotel has a great location within walking distance to much of what I wanted to see. Most importantly, I could walk to the central train station to catch trains to other countries. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and the staff is very courteous and helpful. I wouldn't call the breakfast fabulous, but it is certainly well done and met my needs nicely. I was upgraded from a single to a double, and, unfortunately, even the double is pretty small. Two tiny beds in a very small room. The bathroom is functional, but that's the best I can say about it. One of the nicest things was that I could open the windows. I was there in April, and the heat was on, so the fresh air helped a lot. Rooms were cleaned daily without even asking. Very quiet. Only one elevator, which did not turn out to be a problem for me. I'm glad I made this choice, rather than the other options I had in mind, primarily because of the location."

"I was worried when I booked one of the cheapest available hotels in the centre, but I was far from disappointed. The man on reception gave us an amazing welcoming, showed us on the computer what we had in-store for Kings Day and offered other advice for the long weekend. They let us store our bags before and after our stay. The room was just what we needed, clean, tidy, with twin beds, a lovely Juliette style "balcony" window with a small but perfectly acceptable enough suite. There is so much to see in Amsterdam, so I'm not sure there is a perfect location, but being right in the middle and close to the station worked well for us. Would stay again!"

"That the hotel is very well located is absolutely the only positive aspect about it. After one has dragged one’s luggage up a short but inconvenient set of stairs the reality of where one has booked rapidly sets in. A shabby reception area awaits and we were asked to pay upon checking in. I suspect this is because people take one look at their room and wish to leave. There was nowhere secure to store luggage while we waited for the room to be ready; we were told to put it in the pile with several others just off of the reception area. The room was minuscule even by European standards and the in room safe was so small that it was basically worthless. Also, and this might be very important to some people, there’s no individual heating/air con control in the room. All of this for over €300 per night. Can’t urge you strongly enough to stay elsewhere. "

"The staff was very attentive. The decor and vibe was fantastic. We loved the proximity to the Anne Frank museum as well as to the 9 street shops, The breakfast was great and even included Champagne if you desire!"
