The hotel was very nice ( though not for minimalists!) well located, comfy bed, clean throughout, lovely breakfasts and complimentary hot drinks, water and cake/ pastries in the foyer.
However on arrival they take 150 euros from your card as a deposit towards any costs incurred during your stay and this will take at least 5 days to be returned to your account if unused.
Unfortunately I used my debit card and they took not only the deposit but also the full cost of the hotel stay which I didn’t realise for 48 hrs. As I had already paid Expedia for my stay in full 6 months previously this was a mistake, which they apologised for but I was then not able to get this money back during my stay and when back in the UK I found that there was a shortfall which I haven’t been able to get back. Despite ringing the hotel and my bank it seems that although my hotel bill only came to 186,60 euros it cost me £200.10 from my bank account in the UK and it looks like the money was somehow down to the exchange rate?
So, be warned. Pay the deposit in cash but do not use a debit card or you will end up with no spending money during your stay and a shortfall in your bank account when you get home!
