The property lives upto it's name being distinctively decorated, with post modern pop art liberally located around the hotel and a red/black colour scheme. As for location, literally opposite Amsterdam Central rail and all the major tram lines, so great for reaching further destinations or very walkable to otherss. You get used to the rumble of the trams, otherwise quiet and excellent service from the staff. The room is very chic; however the semi-transparent toiler/shower cubicle where there is no door onto the bathroom area is not for the shy. The gravity shower is great to freshen up and the bed on the firmer side, but still comfortable. In all a cut above the average hotel and if you get the offer price very good value for money.

Where to start with this property. It’s absolutely amazing and it offers so much. To start the rooms are fantastic, they are sexy, stylish, big, amazing amenities, super comfy bed and downright amazing. Other amazing points, they have a working art gallery that is beautiful. The restaurant Arca is beyond amazing. They offer a continental breakfast that is one of the best in Europe. We also got to experience a private one night only special tasting menu with the two chefs doing the dinner and speaking to the 80 or so guest, this made it a major highlight of our trip. As a chef myself this put the cherry on top. Now let’s talk staff!!!! They are truly amazing and the best. Very friendly and accommodating. We also decided to do a project that involved a rubber duck traveling and being photographed throughout Amsterdam. The staff not only helped with our fun they are holding it to be delivered when our friend arrives to the hotel in a couple of weeks, so that she can continue the rubber ducks journey. The staff was more than accommodating and took pics and laughed and had fun with our game. The manager also went out of her way to ensure that we got the dinner reservations for the Special Dinner due to it being so limited. This hotel is now my new choice for all of my future travels to Amsterdam. It’s beautiful, well located in the heart of the city, fantastic staff, all the amenities you can imagine, fantastic food, and just a perfect experience hotel. Five Stars

The hotel is in a great central location. The rooms are a nice size. But, we felt a little deceived in regards to what to expect about the location of our room. We reserved an Art King. Supposedly, it has a courtyard view. What they don’t tell you is that courtyard is pretty narrow, more like a light well. So the view is of basically a wall. The hotel seemed expensive for what you got.

despite my realising I had booked the wrong room as much as i like a view im a lite sleeper on my request i was quickly moved to a quieter room. Staff couldnt be more helpful and friendly with any questions and needs. Great convenient location, 2 mins walk to the Uber taxi location as due to trams not an easy pick up destination but it was never an issue. lovely bar and restaurant gym and spa all of which I used. would stay again

Checking in the front desk mentioned a suite upgrade available but for an extra 75 euro a night. This was not offered as a free upgrade for VIP. Our room we did get was nice and comfortable but was right next to the linen closet so each morning we heard the door slamming as the staff were cleaning the rooms on the floor. The room was great, my only issue was the design of the shower which let water spill out onto the bathroom floor. Just found the design silly. The concierge was welcoming and energetic but the front desk staff who helped us was not as much so. All in all, we will not be staying at this hotel again.
