There’s canals and there’s canals and the canal view from this hotel was more industrial than typical Amsterdam which was very disappointing. The staff and service were both excellent and the self service breakfasts surprisingly good, especially the juddering orange juice machine.

Very comfortable room, with great view on the canal. Quiet and clean. Water bottles given every day, and coffee capsules. They changed the sheets after a couple of days only (unusual in most hotels). They gave us a complimentary breakfast to reward us for a long stay (6 days). Breakfast was great. They gave us a keyring as a souvenir on departure. Staff is super friendly and efficient. Wifi is very good. Highly recommended!

While we didn't take part in all of the amenities, we thought the hotel staff and service was fantastic. Always said hello when entering the hotel or coming down from your room. We were greeted with prosecco at our arrival, and when we were leaving they held our luggage. The room was spacious and offered free water each day. Everything was walkable and yet far enough away from the touristy sections so it remained quiet.
