"Honestly one of the best places I’ve stayed in. We wanted a simple cottage that accommodates a dog & was quiet and relaxing. Swallow Cottage is unbelievable! The cottage itself is so warm & cosy, the hospitality was incredible & there’s even a dog paddock section at the rear for the dog to run around in. The host is absolutely lovely & you can tell a lot of care & attention has gone into this cottage. The location of the cottage is roughly 20 mins from Harrogate & 20 mins from Knaresborough....

"An exceptional B&B in the heart of lovely Richmond. Colin and Sandra are excellent hosts who cannot do enough to make your stay fantastic. Lovely rooms with all the facilities you need. The award winning breakfast is just that with plenty of options to suit even the fussiest eaters. The property is an easy walk to the heart of the town but set in a quiet area."

"Owner had confusion over included breakfast although it clearly shows it on my booking receipt. He did honour it in the end, but i shouldn't have to 'discuss' it at check in like he is doing me a favour when i've already paid for it. Room was spacious. Parking ok. Bar & restaurant looked very nice although not used in the evening. Shame about the breakfast issue, spoiled what could have been a great experience"

"We had a great one night stay. The room was clean, very modern and with high quality finish. Our daughter loved the high sleeper bed which was very safe. Convenient location for Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey. Plenty of parking onsite. We had a great dinner in the pub and our breakfast was delicious too. Friendly staff, would definitely stay again. "We loved staying here. The room was great and the bed luxuriously large. Staff was lovely and we wish we had been able to have had dinner but unfortunately checked in too late. Breakfast was really good. I appreciated the vegan choice on the menu. "

"Very much a Ghosts of Motley Hall hotel. I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to my room yet the hotel seemed to have very few guests - not sure what that was all about. The staff do try their best but the place seems to be run by management from an Agatha Christie novel. My room had such a tiny bathroom too."

"Lyndsey and Mark were brilliant for our stay, so friendly and gave tips on things to do in the area . We also had a dog with us and they were very accommodating. Lovely B and B, close to amenities but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Food is also lovely, we had breakfast and tea. "
