We got a free upgrade from superior room to deluxe room upon arrival which was an awesome surprise. The hotel stands out in almost every aspects but doesn't cost much. The staff were nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was clean and well decorated. The breakfast had a good variety and was located in a clean and comfortable restaurant.
The only thing that's not perfect is the transport. It takes a 7-8 min walk to BTS, which is still not bad. But I suppose you can't ask for a clean and quiet hotel with everything right at the front door, definitely not with the price of AUD 60 per night.
Good value for money. Close to Sky rail to get around Bangkok and night market. Small swimming pool.
In Bangkok, there are a lot of sights to see and shopping markets/malls. Unfortunately at the sights there are a lot of scammers and con artists. Be really careful and dont trust tuk tuk drivers at the sights. Also, always ask taxi driver if they will run the meter before you get into the taxi - 70% didn't in our case and we quickly learned never to get in to those taxis. However there are still good people in Bangkok and the city does have lots of good things to find.
Hugging the Chao Phraya River, Silom, and Sathorn are home to the full gamut of industries. Considered part of the central business district, the area is also home to the city’s most renowned entertainment and red light area, Patpong. Other distractions include the shopping complexes of Robinson, Central, Silom, and Makro. Expect constant traffic congestion.
