"Since my room faced the street, I was awoken by gunshots, loud music, and cars going over a pothole in the middle of the road."

"You can tell this building needs a renovation. The bathroom tile needs a deep cleaning, and the lever to turn on the water falls off. The light switch to turn on the lights works 50% of the time, and the internet went out on the last day for over 12 hours, preventing me from finishing work I needed to get done. I didn't notice bed bugs or any other insects, which is usually the first thing I check for in every hotel I stay at, so good job on that. Towels and sheets are clean, so I know the staff is doing that much; they just need to close out certain rooms to do a full deep clean and not just maintain the rooms."

"We stayed at the Biltmore Los Angeles for two nights. I chose the hotel because of its proximity to 1) a subway station and 2) good restaurants. We did request no room cleaning, which was fine. Our room had a king bed, as requested, and it was comfortable. Even though we were on the eighth floor, sounds from the street wafted up frequently. The only bad component of the room was the TV remote, which had a low battery or faulty keyboard that prevented easy selection of channels. The bill or guest information was a revelation: a daily $39 destination fee that “included” WiFi access, health club access, domestic pkone calls, and daily credits for food and dry cleaning. We did not use any of these except for the WiFi. The valet parking cost $70 per day."

"City view rooms were amazing with floor to ceiling glass. Extremely comfortable beds and a warm welcome from reception. It must be noted that location is central for transportation, but homeless people are numerous in area by the station, staff seemed reluctant to let people go out after dark and head in that direction. A direct bus to disneyland departs just around corner. Bars are very expensive in hotel."
