We had an incredible stay at the Catalonia Resort. The staff was amazing and welcoming! The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food at the restaurants was ok, we preferred the buffet. There is two pools and a swim up bar. There was also beach access with a cute tiki bar. Also there is a small shopping area with a cute coffee shop that serves amazing coffee. Overall loved our stay at Catalonia!

We just returned from a seven-day stay at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana, and it was a fantastic experience. We’ve stayed at Majestic Colonial many times, but with it closed for renovation, we booked the Elegance—and we were not disappointed. The service here was among the best we’ve ever experienced in Punta Cana and edges out the Colonial, though we slightly preferred the Colonial’s restaurants and food variety. What truly sets the Elegance apart is the staff. From beach service to housekeeping and front desk, everyone was attentive and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Alexander at the beach and See & Sea bar—his friendly demeanor and exceptional service made our days even better. Pepa from the entertainment team was equally memorable, bringing endless energy, warmth, and fun. Dining was solid, especially the steakhouse and hibachi restaurant—we enjoyed both enough to return twice. Our king junior suite overlooking the pool was immaculate throughout, with excellent housekeeping and a consistently stocked minibar. We always found great spots at the beach and pool with plenty of shade. While some exterior areas show minor wear, the grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and it didn’t impact our stay. Overall, a relaxing and memorable trip—we would absolutely return.

Reservations at restaurants were difficult to obtain even with staff assistance. Was told some restaurants were booked weeks in advance. Wish I would’ve known this so I could’ve been more proactive sooner. The buffet was hit or miss, just had to be patient about looking around. Usually found something good. The resort was lacking in organized activities for guests unlike other places I’ve been to. But overall it was a relaxing experience.

First time in Punta Cana and I can say this resort is a 10/10. If you’re looking for a calm aesthetically pleasing resort this is it!!

We had such a great time! We loved the beach setting, and the staff was consistently friendly and welcoming. The entertainment kept everything fun, and the drinks were excellent. Definitely a place we’d come back to.
