"Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay. Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful. Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub. Only downside, studio was small."

"Our room was large and comfortable. Most importantly, it was clean. Even the bathroom was spacious. Our dinner at the restaurant was good and the hotel’s breakfast buffet was even better!"

"The room smelled of human waste. The corridors had literal rubbish across them, flattened cardboard boxes to walk across, nail and screws just on the floor. The floor I was on looked unpainted, bare walls. Staff were doing the best they could but were not customer-focused, unusual given I'd had to change rooms cause of the horrific smell in the first one. The second room was absolutely boiling - the windows don't open."

"We have visited York on numerous occasions over the years and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The central location meant that it was only a short walk to the main attractions. The staff were helpful and courteous with check in and out being swift and easy. The choice and quality of food at breakfast was excellent. The rooms were modern, fresh and clean with all the amenities you would expect. The bathroom was light and airy with a powerful shower which was easy to use. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel ."

"The hotel was ok the spa was nice would say it was over priced for the room the bed was slightly bigger the matress was needing replaced it had no softness to it the tv was bigger there were glass tops on the table and the units in the room that had been cleaned on top but not under the glass so you could see all the dust under them but other then that no different then a premier inn nothing special the staff were very good and glad to help very polite and friendly it did have a btilliant view of the racecourse from the terrace of the room"
