Well positioned from the Subway for to/from JFK and rest of Manhattan. Helpful, friendly staff who make you feel both welcome and a bit special.

Hotel is in a great location Midtown to easily access all the sights by walking and is 5 mins walk to Grand Central station for access to the subway and trains. Rooms are very clean and well equipped with tea / coffee and fridge facilities. Staff very helpful and friendly. Well equipped gym with cardio machines and a good selection of dumbbells for weight training. Definitely recommend this hotel

I really appreciated this hotel being my base. The staff were phenomenally friendly, welcoming and helpful. That made a big difference to me as this was my first time in NY, on a ten day trip alone. A big adventure. The mattress was firm (very important) AND there were feather pillows. Close to travel and amenities. It’s listed as three star. I see it as four star. Very good value for money.

Hotel was ideal for its purpose. Close to everything planned for an elderly relative visiting with us.

We've stayed there before and knew what to expect and they didn't disappoint! Always helpful staff, a great room (eventually) and a really good breakfast that sets you up for the day

We truly dropped lucky when we booked The Carnegie Hotel, our first time in New York. On arrival we were greeted in a very friendly reception by Elijah and then by Alexandra who was a pleasure to chat to every day discussing all our adventures. The Hotel was absolutely fabulous & certainly lived up to expectations , We had a suite on the 14th floor . The Housekeeping was brilliant & the suite was extremely comfortable . The staff could not have been more professional , helpful & informative . I cannot name them all but Barbara on Reception . Friendly helpful and welcoming staff. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping were excellent changing bedding and towels daily. Amenities in the room were very good with a fridge microwave, safe and coffee machine. There was also an iron and an ironing board. Safety plug sockets were installed in the room which was a nice touch and the room was aesthetically pleasing. Fresh and modern design throughout and a fantastic shower. Very impressed with our comfortable room which was exactly as described. Comfortable bed which is a must after a hard day's sightseeing and shopping and the room and bathroom were spotless The hotel was very close to Times Square, Central Park, Broadway and major department stores and attractions. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Overall a great stay, can't wait to come back and would definitely stay here again. 10/10

I had a really great stay here. From the moment we entered and received a warm and friendly welcome from Chris who was incredible throughout to the day of departure. It was amazing that Chris actually remembered our names because the hotel was full and also had celebrity guests (due to the US Open). Room was a decent size, very roomy for New York and regularly cleaned. Some previous guests have complained about the cost of eating at the hotel - it is expensive but certainly not extortionate...

The room was clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was well maintained and had plenty of space to relax. Overall, a good experience, and I would happily recommend it to others.

Stayed in the king room with Times Square view, it was perfect. Huge comfortable bed, very clean and spacious. As two women it felt very secure and safe, with staff at all entrances and key card needed to access lift and extra lock on the bedroom door, which was something I was looking for.

Returned to the Peninsula after a few years' hiatus (I had an issue last time). It is an excellent place to stay if you want to be in upper Midtown. The prices can be quite punchy, but the restaurant and bar are not as mind-boggling as some, and you are getting a top notch product. The staff were friendly and helpful, and in the main not as overbearingly stuffy or as synthetically gushing as you sometimes find in similar hotels.
