Can't get a better location, near to Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Sq, Buckingham Palace...the hotel itself is immaculate, the double room was of a reasonable size, the bed so comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Shower was excellent, complimentary drinks on arrival and cookies and cranberry juice / water in the room. Downsides..not many, view was terrible and there was a slightly unusual smell in the room which you only really noticed first entering.

We were only here for 1 night but had a lovely stay and would highly recommend the hotel and would return if in the area again. It was close to the station and bus routes,shops restaurants etc. From the warm welcome from the gentleman at the door and efficient and personable reception staff,we found check in was quick and easy . The rooms were clean and well thought out,the towels fluffy and soft and the bed comfortable.

First impression of the hotel was not great as the lobby and lift are very small. However I am happy with the room and found the staff extremely helpful generally. It’s great to hear the staff telling American tourists about the history of royalty :)

I wasn't sure about booking this hotel, as I'd never heard of it. However it was amazing. It is small but that actually adds to the experience. We usually prefer larger hotels but this was truly 5*. It really feels like a special place. The staff all get the balance of attentive & friendly right. If we needed anything they seemed to arrive at just the right time. Great staff. We mentined it was our anniversary on arrival at 1am (in passing) and next day returned to find a free bottle of champagne and signed card. A really nice touch. Staff were really helpful and friendly and hotel was really great quality. A fantastic place.

Quirky townhouse boutique hotel. Lovely staff and great location. Didn’t receive the VIP upgrade despite it being on booking and hotel showing availability. Didn’t ruin our stay though the previous guests underwear in the room was an unwelcome gift.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of London Bridge is a gem of a boutique hotel, The Lalit. The old school has been transformed into fabulous high ceilinged bedrooms and a must see dining room: the restoration has done this building proud. On a boiling hot and sticky day in London the accommodation provided an oasis of calm, noise free and air conditioned. I loved it.

We had a wonderful stay in this quiet cul-de-sac boutique hotel. The hotel is beautifully designed and the common areas are wonderfully homey in a grand home kind of way. The service is outstanding, with a handwritten note welcoming you into the room. We were put in the smallest and most claustrophobic room I have ever stayed in which was very disappointing. It had dark wood panelling and slopped walls and was overall very dark and dreary. The bathroom was nice but small. The over the top high techness was so annoying we were using our iPhone's light to go to the toilet in the middle of the night as we couldn't get the lights to work and the TV on an electric swivel constantly moved to face away from our bed. The Connaught was a lovely experience, of a true London traditional hotel. Couldn't fault our stay. Facilities great incl pool spa area. Location perfect for new bond st /mayfair area
