"Lovely rural location a few miles from Burscough & Ormskirk
On a working arable farm where there is also a campsite Tea room & small shop with a few B&B rooms. Very quiet overnight. Excellent breakfast & helpful staff"
"Clean, welcoming, great staff, excellent food.
Next to a noisy main road, expected a historic pub/hotel given the name but it was modern and the bathroom was cramped."
"Lovely historic building and grounds in a peaceful location. The restaurant food is excellent and very good value for money. The tudor main hall with a gallery is very impressive. The staff were professional and accommodating.
The only thing I found a little odd is the bedroom and corridor decor which isn't in keeping with the rest of the building and in need of some refurbishment especially the carpet. However this would not stop me returning or recommending this hotel. "
"Great hotel for an excellent value stopover.
Easy to park on streets around the hotel so very convenient.( Hotel parking limited and tricky spaces ) ! Clean and tidy hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Very happy with my stay. "

The Grand Hotel Blackpool
10/10 Excellent
"It was quiet, lots of picturesque views of Blackpool Tower and the promenade and also of the Big One at Pleasure Beach in the distance. The location is ideal as it’s not in the middle of everything going on, staff were very polite and whilst there are facilities like the pool and Sauna etc we didn’t make use of during this stay we would definitely be inclined to make use of them on a future visit!"
"Ideally located hotel to explore Liverpool - themed party rooms but it meant we were all able to share the same room. Great affordable hotel. Lovely staff too."
"The hotel looks impressive. Staff were very attentive. The room was nice, spacious and a nice temperature. There were a few crumbs, fluff and a receipt on the floor so could have been cleaner. The biggest disappointment was the lack of biscuits. Perhaps swap the shoe shine kit or shower cap for some biscuits. It's a shame as the coffee facilities were good but only 2 tea bags and 2 coffee pods.
Breakfast there was a good choice and everything was fresh and lovely.
Overall our stay was very pleasant and everything within a good distance. "
