"The hotel is an older one built in 1991. At one time it must have been very nice (a tour guide told me that Arnold Schwarzenegger and other celebrities have stayed there) but in recent years it has been neglected and now is in need of a renovation. For example the key to my room also fit the adjoining room lock, the sliding glass door did not close well or lock, hot water was not always available, the hair dryer did not work, electrical receptacles were loose and did not have a trim cover, the room safe was only a small metal box not secured to anything, the outdoor hot tub was not usable and the exterior needs both cosmetic and building repairs. But the staff was excellent, the location right on the beach. And I would stay there again in spite of the shortcomings."
