"Overall a beautiful hotel, the lobby looks and smells wonderful, the front desk employees were incredibly nice, and the view from the room was great! This was the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel and it’s one of the best in Chicago, especially for the price! The only complaints I have is the vallet is pricey at 89$ but it is super nice to just drop off the car and not have to worry and the breakfast is fantastic but INCREDIBLELY expensive (~100$ for two adults) so I recommend just going somewhere else for breakfast! 9/10 hotel!"

"I have been staying at the Ambassador for a long time. Since the Pump Room was still there and there was a doorman. I have always loved it there, but lately it really isn't the same. There are no housekeeping services. Things that used to be a given like a bottle of water at check in or free morning coffee are now an upcharge. Details go unattended. The clock in my room was still set to winter time. I have a phone and a watch, so I didn't necessarily need it, but it just shows the lack of attention. On my last trip, there was no body wash in the shower. On this trip, the hair dryer was broken. I reported both these thing to the desk staff and was assured they would be taken care of. They weren't. It used to be the type of place where the front desk staff greeted you like an old friend. "Hi! How are you? Nice to see you again." Now I'm lucky if they even look up from the computer. The one exception to all of this is the valet parking staff. They are consistently helpful, cheerful and friendly. Unfortunately, I will be looking for a new favorite place in Chicago."

I would tell people it is a good place for stay over and if you have good weather to be outside Wouldn’t want to spend a lot of time in there pretty much used it to sleep and then get going in the morning. "First room was not cleaned at all. Second room moved to had hidden leftovers in the fridge. Also charged for 2 beers we did not drink."

"Overall stay was excellent. Coffee always available in the morning. You could order your breakfast meal at reasonable prices, and it was prepared quickly and efficiently. Ambience is fun and hip! Easy walking to the train station and major attractions in downtown Chicago. Close to Whole Foods!"
