Rooms were dirty. From the windows to the beds to the carpet to the bathrooms. One window had a giant smear on the inside. There was dirt on the bedding and carpet. The mirrors in the bathroom were splattered and smudged and there was still hair in the shower. We were charged a resort fee even though I wouldn't consider this a resort since it had no resort amenities, the pool was closed our entire stay.

My first time to Vegas and I was happy with my stay there. It's a good location on the strip. There was a long line at check-in, they have kiosks but it seemed like everyone at them ended up in the line anyways. One negative was that there are no coffee makers in the rooms. It's probably like that in all the hotels so that you have to buy it for $7. Overall, I was happy with my stay and would stay there again.

Great experience! Downfall is having to call house keeping a few times for extra pillows and towels. The pillows are travel size and I asked for 4 more but only received 2. There were 3 towels for a 2 night stay. I didn’t request maid service because I don’t feel comfortable with that but I don’t expect to be jipped on pillows and towels. Other than that, the location is perfect and they have a lot of cool things to do! I highly recommend Twilight mini golf and their arcade.

Our elevator went down and nobody was able to go to their rooms for several hours. We were compensated with a $50 meal voucher. Check I. Took FOREVER- the line lasted almost two hours because none of the self-service kiosks were open. Apparently there was tech issues. The desk was staffed with just four personnel. It was rediculas. Finally after waiting so long they opened things up. We were not compensated for that. The heavy smoking indoors was also an issue for me. For a family friendly establishment, I would venture to say stay off the gambling floor, it stinks up there. Our pool was nicer than the Paris and on the lower level were many family friendly attractions, so the smoke could be avoided.

The hotel is drab and outdated . We stayed on 15th floor . Our room was supposed to be a fountain view and all we saw was roof top below. We tried blasting the air to get the smell out …no luck . We tried opening window .. it opened an inch .., windows were filthy .. looks like they had not been cleaned in a long time . In the bathroom -when you go to use the makeup mirror it literally falls off the wall. I called front desk to request room change and they said I had to come down to receptionist. We immediately packed and went downstairs and were met by a woman with no customer service skills and even less personality. She told me that no other rooms were available and to try again tomorrow. I asked her what can be done about smell and she said she’d talk to manager . The manager never showed their face .. she came back and flatly said sorry no other rooms available but maintenance could come up and “fumigate “ the room . This concerned me because I wasn’t sure it would be safe for us to be in room . I asked to speak to manager myself and than she advised me I had to leave the front desk or she would call security . We left it that housekeeping would come investigate odor on 20 mins . That was Thursday night … it’s Sunday and we are checked out now and housekeeping or maintenance NEVER showed up . The strange odor never went away .

This was our first time staying at Horseshoe Las Vegas. It was a pleasant experience, centrally located and many options for food.

The hotel is in a good location because close to monorail. But the hotel was smokey and furniture needs to be upgraded and room needed paint .

The property needed some repairs. The cabinet in the bathroom had a lot of damage on the front, the make-up mirror on the wall wasn’t very secure and the toilet seat would slid when you sat on it. The bathroom wall appeared to have blood splattered stains on it. They needed to consider better ventilation for the casino so that the smell of cigarette smoke wasn’t so strong throughout the facility.
