The upside: For the money, the hotel overall was pretty good. The Diablo restaurant was excellent, overall service was good, and the room and common areas were clean. The hotel is on the strip, but at the far end so it's a long walk to go anywhere, rideshare or cab must be used. That said, transportation was always easy to secure.
The downside: The buffet wasn't open for half the time we were there. When it was open, the escalator was broken. There was an odd smell in the room and hallway. The smell wasn't terrible or intolerable, but was there nonetheless. The thermostat in the room was a bit difficult to control. It kept turning off intermittently, and the room would heat up significantly when that happened.
