"I’ve stayed at this hotel once or twice a year for nearly a decade, dating back to its time as a Travelodge. Having grown up in the Cranford area (Rectory Road) I’ve remained a loyal guest for the convenience, but my recent stay was a massive disappointment. The maintenance standards have dropped. The carpets are showing significant age and noticeable staining; they are clearly overdue for a deep clean or replacement soon. However, the most illogical issue is the removal of basic amenities. Leaving a kettle and mugs in the room while removing the tea, coffee, and sugar is a bizarre and unnecessary inconvenience. Forcing a frequent guest to go to a nearby shop for essentials, or expecting them to pay at the bar because the room isn't stocked, is poor service. Management should not attempt to counter this with generic excuses. Providing the hardware without the supplies is a failure in basic hospitality. This is no longer a 3 star experience, it has fallen to a 2 star standard. If you are going to strip away basic guest etiquette, then your room rates should be lowered significantly to compensate for the loss of service. As one of your most frequent regulars, I have seen exactly where these corners are being cut. I would prefer not to move my business elsewhere, but I will not stay where basic standards are ignored. For now, I do not recommend this hotel. I suggest the owners review these petty cost cutting measures before they lose the last of their long term loyal guests."

"We really enjoyed the convenience of staying at this hotel because we were flying out of Heathrow. Staff was so friendly and helpful. They allowed early check-in and late check-out to accommodate for our awkward flight time…it was much appreciated! Would absolutely stay here again when flying out of London!"

"This hotel is in a very busy, commercial area, which isn't horrible but can be very noisy at times. The Underground is right around the corner which is great. There are a ton of fast food restaurants and a couple very nice restaurants. As far as the hotel itself.... The staff is extremely helpful!! I mean that, they are great. Unfortunately, the hotel is lacking in many areas. We booked online they Expedia and was sent email letting me know that I could inquire about a free upgrade.... When we arrived, I inquired, and was told I was supposed to do that they Expedia. No such a great start. We got to our room which was tiny...I mean tiny and hot. They came to look into the air conditioning and we decided to just upgrade. Back down the stairs and we did the upgrade. I asked them to make sure the air conditioner worked before we moved ourstuff, I was told they would definitely check. . "

"The bar was closed for refurbishment and we only found out a couple of days before the trip. They allowed us to use the member area but it did mean drinks etc were limited to what was bottled. It was also very small so very loud when it started to fill up. The room we were in was in another building which we got lost trying to find, a map would have been helpful. The room was small but clean. The floor did creak loudly no matter where you stood which was annoying for us but imagine worse for the people below. We booked a standard room and won’t do that again. Will only go back when the refurb is complete "

"Directions from the Elizabeth line are simply poor. The fact you need a you tube video to explain how to get there is concern enough. Room service was just plain bad food - but they have you hostage. It was clean. It is convenient if you need to be at terminal 2 for early flight and want to be on property. Otherwise it is overpriced across the board."
