Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. For us the location was perfect, we enjoyed the walk to the lake and into town, which took about 25 minutes through the lovely gardens of the hotel. We were enchanted by the garden and were lucky enough to look out over them from our room. The staff were very attentive and the facilities were excellent. The only downside is that there is no lift so if you can't do stairs you would need to request a downstairs room.

Dined in the restaurant and food was fantastic,very impressed that the menu indicated which dishes contained allergens and that the waiting staff offered wheat free bread.pool and spa area was very good. Staff on reception were very attentive and polite,overall was very happy with our stay and would recommend anyone to stay at stonecross manor

Everyone from the manager to the restaurant staff were friendly and super helpful. We had 2 babies and a dog and they did everything possible to make our stay fantastic.

Loved this place, a little out of Cartmel but liked that, pleasant evening stroll into town, great view across the racecourse, well looked after hotel, plenty of parking Points to improve could do with some car chargers but thats a minor point, will be back

This was our second stay at the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere having previously stayed in February. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a very friendly and helpful reception staff. The onsite parking is great. Our room was a decent size and was very clean with good standard facilities (TV, air-conditioning, complimentary water, hairdryer etc) The spa facilities are acceptable and the only downside to the hotel is it's lack of swimming pool. We had the most enjoyable 5 days at the hotel, the staff were very accommodating, the breakfast was wonderful as was the evening meal my only preference would be an-alternative evening menu occasionally

Fab little pub in the village of Ingleton. Really friendly bar staff and manager, even though they were really busy as we arrived on New Years Eve. Arranged a table for our evening meal and the food was worth the money. Room was comfy and lovely and warm, had everything you needed. Great stay, hotel is immaculate and staff are very friendly. We were offered vouchers to redeem at the bar for drinks instead of maid service which we took. Maid still came in one day which was nice. We arrived on a Saturday and it was very busy. There was a wedding on so lots of kids running around. If you’re looking for a quiet trip book another day and avoid the weekends if you can. Family get together for 2 nights. Food excellent, bar service very good and rooms spacious and clean.

Quick check-in, family room had two bedrooms, one king and two single size beds. Flatscreen in both rooms and plenty of tea/coffee supplies. Lots of hangers and storage and very nice bathroom with shower bath. Good selection at breakfast and very nice

Such a pleasant suprise, a beautiful hotel with clean rooms. Slightly dated but in condition. Gorgeous views and very friendly staff. There is also a lovely spa. Within a good distance from Lake windemere, ambleside and bowness walks (about 30 minutes). This is a beautiful and well priced spot for the south lake district exploring, highly recommend!
