"The Holiday Inn Express Jacksonville SE-Med Center is close to the huge Mayo Clinic property, so the staff knows about that medical center. The hotel operates a free hourly shuttle to/from Mayo, and one of the drivers is a regular patient there. He was very helpful about the particular building I was to go to; and he knew about the various restaurants on the complex, as well. I was new to Mayo and a little anxious and he helped me feel more relaxed about the clinic. When I get my surgery done at Mayo, I will use this Holiday Inn Express because I like the staff and I can get a patient discount on my room. My room had a quiet view of an adjacent golf course, so my two night stay was most pleasant."

"we reserved a suite at the comfort suites and when we arrived and checked in Chloe was the best. She asked if we wanted to be on the second floor or first floor. We chose the first floor and so glad we did. The room was right behind the front desk, and it was very quiet, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was typical, eggs, sausage, toast, blueberry muffins, yogurt, cereal and juice apple and orange. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant to talk to. The air conditioning in the rooms worked very well. The room has a large flat screen tv., a little fridge and microwave. There was plenty of parking and many restaurants close to the hotel. We stayed in Jacksonville, Florida. When we go back to visit, we plan on staying at the same hotel and hopefully be able to reserve the same room. Chloe gave us a card and said just call and request that room and they will reserve it for us. They pride themselves on keeping the hotel and rooms very clean. All rooms are nonsmoking which made it nice."

"The room carpet had so many stains and they gave me the worst room. The entire hotel smells like rotting sewage. They dont maintain the property at all. The shower drain water would not go down and the floor tiles were slanted. Room smelled like cigarettes and so did the towels. Mold on the tiles of the bathroom... got a refund and got told to wait until 2 am to see if there would be a new room. No thanks, I went to the Marriot."
