The Ambridge Inn sits behind a business that has various construction materials stacked up. It's not messy with litter or anything like that but it is unsightly. "If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive place to stay for a night, this is a hdden gem. Right on the highway into Newcastle, close to Pittsburgh, the room we had was clean and, unlike many older motels, had no musty smell. We thought the highway noise might be an issue, but it wasnt. The air/heat fan was a bit noisy, but was effective and was white noise overnight. The beds were firm but ok, good pillows. "I was waited on by the owner Ken who was very kind and gracious but the employees were nowhere to be found when needed. This hotel is a Landmark of Rochester and very old but updated. The cleaning could have been much better but was not the worse I have ever encountered. They do offer free WiFi and is conveniently located in downtown Rochester. There is multiple stores within walking distance. "
