Everything was as expected. We had a very pleasant stay. Thanks The only thing I have to say is that our bathroom had mould (around the bath) and smelled like it from the moment you open the suite door ( suite 1801). Needs proper deep clean and better ventilation.

I booked the biggest suite at Paramount Midtown for 3 nights at a grossly overinflated rate (thanks to Expedia). As soon as you arrive at the hotel, the outside area is dingy and not what you would expect of a 5 star hotel in Dubai. Both the ground floor and reception areas are small and nothing special. Our suite stunk of cigarette smoke as soon as we entered. The light switches were really slow and it would take 10-15 tries to actually get the light to switch on fully in any room, except the bathrooms. There was mould in one of the bathroom showers. The AC didn’t work for the duration of our stay - shocking for a stay in Dubai. I tried calling reception on two occasions about this issue from the phones in our suite but the calls rung out. I tried for over an hour each time. The first time, I eventually went down the next morning to reception but the line was over 15 people long with one staff member serving. The second time, I ended up going down to reception immediately (in my pyjamas and slippers at 12am when I had things to do in advance of my flight leaving that night) and I raised the issue with the manager (who I had to wait half an hour to speak to). The manager Youssef was unbelievably rude and denied that the phones rung out and told me he could do nothing as I had booked the biggest suite, as I was leaving that night, and as I had booked through Expedia. It’s pretty strange to be penalised. I would stay on the street in a sleeping bag instead of at this hotel.

I was excited about this hotel but I promise you it’s not worth it, not only are the staff incredibly rude but the concept of accommodations does not exist. The entire hotel is overbooked and they have a residence as well which are put more in priority which means you won’t be allowed to bring guests to even use the tanning bed or be around the pool, they keep following you around, all management say different things, the elevators connect to 2 different buildings (one residence, one hotel) it’s very hard to navigate around but again the biggest issue I could not overlook is the way the staff talks to you, the only kind person was Alex (front stage producer), I promise you the price is not worth the experience you will have, even getting any issue solved takes time and there is no organization between staff members themselves. When you ask for a policy, they say there is no policy except an internal one. They claim that they can just make their own rules depending on their mood, seriously I can’t explain how much the customer service ruined the perfectly beautiful hotel never experienced something like that.

There is definitely room for improvement. I would not name this hotel 5*. Pros: great pool, nice view from the 64th floor. Delicious breakfast. Noteworthy staff: NIJESH and SIPIP: these two guys work with all their hearts, they were helpful, nice and quick to get the job done. I admired their dedication to work. Cons: Valentines day I got roses from my husband. In the reception desk I asked for the vase for my flours. The recption desk worker (men- I do not remember the name, 2023.02.14 day around 9pm) didn't put any effort to solve my issue. He just said that they do not have any vase. I asked for the ice bucket without ice like an alternative, but he was speaking about ice and I about bucket. Any other solution was not suggested. This simple situation do not remember 5* hotel service. Other situation happend in the roof top bar, was 6pm. We were dressed ( not with the swimming suits). Ordered two glasses of prosecco. When the waiter brouht the bubbles it was in the plastic glasses. I askes to change to the galss made of glass, but he just said that he can't. I explained that I am not going to swim, I just want to enyoj the sunset, next to the table with glass of prosecco in the normal clean glasses form the glass, but again he repeated that he do not have normal glasses. Again does not remind me 5* hotel. Not enough sunbeds next to the swimming pool. The smell in the room was bad (room 2105), I guess it comes from the air conditioning.

We have reviewed your feedback in detail with the team to ensure we address, correct and improve accordingly in line with the standards we have established over the past months. Although for the plastic glasses at the pool area, we implement this as a safety to our guests as accidents can happen with just a chip of the glass. We have replaced all of the glass with high quality plastic, high-density polyethylene which is the best for hygiene and safety and for situations and possible accidents we can't control. Nether less, thank you for giving us an opportunity to continuously improve. We look forward to welcoming you back in a not too distant future.

Highly recommend. Solid choice.
Overall a very good experience. The staff are excellent. The rooftop pool was incredible, but go in the morning or early afternoon as the sun is gone by 3pm in the winter months. Food was excellent. Room was fabulous and I’m an expert. If your shower is not warm enough inform the desk and they can adjust it. TV in English is CNN and BBC World. You can stream your device to the tv, it’s easy. Hotel should add BEiN sports English to its channels. Many of the rooms have balconies. It’s a short walk to some quick food choices and a variety store, and a cheap Uber to the Burj Khalifa.
