"The hotel is old so not a lot to expect but let's just say the upkeep and cleanliness of the place isn't great
All the Sofas and chairs were smelly and dirty like they had never been washed
Had a problem with the showers keeping a single temperature,
Plates at the breakfast and cups from the pool bar were dirty like they hadn't been washed properly
Overall relatively poor-moderate grade in terms of cleanliness
Food was fine, drinks were good, pool is good, facilities ok

"Tired facilities in need of restoration investment. Drive up area to lobby has a collapsed roof - no longer in use but no repair work in sight.
Beach side villas very nice and ours was well maintained.
Staff are very nice and helpful but not enough are trained for 5 star service - e.g poolside staff don’t bother walking around to take orders, despite that being their job, you have to go to the bar to order.
Good location and Karon is pretty
family friendly.
