"Firstly I have to say that I am totally unaccustomed to leaving negative reviews, but sadly I have to say "don't go" to this, no doubt once very classy, little boutique hotel. Before going any further it is worth mentioning that the staff (we only saw 3!) were lovely, extremely well meaning, and obliging. (We're guessing/deducing, severely let down by an absentee owner). Apart from the staff, the only other attribute was the superb position, overlooking and directly onto the river estuary....

"We had a small situation where when we switched off the A/C the whole room was dripping water as later I found out that the walls are made out of clay. So all our bags and the entire room got watery…but other than that, staff was extremely professional and friendly, location is beautiful as well. "The property is situated in a peninsula in Kalutara on a road with almost no traffic, a pleasant surprise in such a busy (and wonderful) city. The beach is lovely, but not swimmable because of strong currents. The room was large and bright. The washroom was clean, and the shower was awesome.
