"It is a beautiful hotel and all the staff was fantastic!! The room was amazing! Fiona at the front desk went out of her way to welcome us. A perfect person to start our hotel stay. "Great location in the heart of Grasmere. Easy parking. Good breakfast. Lovely new bathroom. The room itself and the restaurant and reception areas could do with a bit of an update which would make it fabulous. Maybe removing some carpets and having wooden floors would help. "

"This is a repeat trip to this hotel. set in the glorious countryside of Grasmere. The hotel has a quaint but contempoary feel. all the staff from arrival to leaving were understadig and willing to talk to us about the spa, food or the amenities. We had an upstairs upgrade room with Jacuzzi bath and balcony overlooking the adjacent stream. We visited the compact spa which was welcome after a days hiking and lasted one half hour by our choice.
