"Employees at the Rise Uptown are super friendly; the property is nice, clean and conveniently located. The hotel, however, is undergoing some changes in the management of the pool, bars and kitchen. Consequently, those areas seem to be terribly understaffed and will likely stay that way until the new team gets things the way they want them. Because of the chaos, we were promised free drinks at the rooftop bar by the manager but did not receive them. Instead, we were treated to the sound of someone running the upstairs hallways in heavy work boots every night until the rooftop bar closed. It was annoying. They seem like capable people, so I expect that they will get their act together. But during our brief stay, it wasn't as nice as it could have been."

"The construction going on on the railroad kept us up late on a friday night. Construction went on passed 8pm. Air planes can be heard when coming into airport early morning hours. Do not stay in rooms facing west by railroad tracks. Rooms were clean and personal was helpful and nice. "

"While the room floor and bathroom counter were clean and reeked of bleach upon entering, the positive reviews unfortunately stop there. I don't need a lot of frills but this experience was lacking many essentials (some listed as amenities on their site were missing). If you are on a business trip like we were I don't recommend this spot. -Not a safe neighborhood. Aside from smashed window cars in the parking lot, our Doordash order for amenities the motel lacked was stolen within five minutes of delivery. - Smoke alarm ripped out -Dirty shower floor -No toilet paper holder -No hand towels -Only bar soap, no shampoo or conditioner - No soap dish - No hair dryer - No iron and ironing board - The only linens were the flat and fitted sheets. When we asked for blankets (45-50 degrees at night during this time of year) we were told to walk around the property and find the maid ourselves. - walkways and walls all in need of cleaning The photos are deceptive, I should have read the reviews more carefully before booking. "The room was clean, beds were very uncomfortable and hard, showers fluctuated temperature drastically to the point of it being in enjoyable, windows didn’t open and no way to change the temperature. Staff at front desk was lovely and friendly. "

"The room appeared to be clean. The comforter had stains and holes. The window curtain had holes. There was a big gap under the door that allowed the light from outside to come in. The AC was very loud. And there were too many drifters outside the office. "

"The room was musty smelling, and we had to pay parking at the hotel. I never had to pay for parking at hotel. Breakfast was to be served st 6:00 am, but not served until 7:00. We didn’t eat. The room rates were very expensive and not worth it! "
