"To many issues no hot water.. construction underway etc"

"My wife and I stayed for several nights in April. The old church turned convent turned hotel is lovely and very well located in Old San Juan just off a small square with a fountain. Cobblestone street leads past a large cathedral and many shops, ending at a park and old arched wall. It is historic. Office staff were helpful and friendly, making change for a large bill with no trouble and recommending a local restaurant that was excellent. The restaurant in the picturesque inner courtyard served tasty meals and drinks under a canopy and is surrounded by plants, featuring an ambient, flowing fountain, and is shaded by a large tree. Though the air conditioning made sleep a bit difficult in the king bed, the room was spacious. A small table outside allowed views of the street. Be sure to walk downhill through the last remaining entrance gate to the sea wall. A lovely path at night was romantic, a real gem. The location is far enough from the gigantic cruise ships to allow a little less crowdedness. On Fridays those ships are not allowed to dock, so plan accordingly. We took a tour of the rain forest then."

"No water after checking in at 12:30am. Room smells musty, bathroom tub dirty, bathroom curtain dirty, rug philthy and furniture old."

"We stayed in a two bedroom harbor view at the Reef. Had lots of space for 4 adults and one 20 year old. Room was clean and well appointed. Resort is beautiful and there is a ton to do. Loved the water park especially the rapid river. Marine life everywhere you turn and the dig is spectacular! Dining we enjoyed most was Cocodrilo, Marina pizza , and Good Lies Sports bar. We were not impressed with Carmines. While salad was huge and tasty, meatball in red sauce and rigatoni was watery and no flavor. Also disappointed in shrimps scampi. Worst was being totally forgotten at end of meal, waited at least 25 from time done eating till asked someone not our waiter to get our check . We did Finn’s, flippers and feathers was absolutely amazing and my ten year old granddaughter was trying to figure out a way to live at Atlantis. Her enjoyment made it a fabulous vacation."
