We have stayed at 3 different all inclusive resorts in Cancun in the past 14 months. Crown Paradise, by far, is the best for kids and activities. My kids (9, 10, 12) loved the drink menu for kids, the slides, beach, kids club, covered pool, putt putt, kids basketball court, giant chess board, and the live shows. The bunk beds for 3 was also a hit. For adults, the 18 pool area was far nicer than the last resort we were at, with a nice swim up bar, 2 hot tubs, large pool, lots of cofortable setting, and no kids.
The food was plentyfull most of the time. Breakfast is either at the buffet or sit doen at Fishermans. We only did buffet for breakfast, it was an 8/10. Lots of options. We only ate lunch at the pool side spots so I have no information about othe lunch options. The pool side grill was sufficiant but not great, hours 11-6. They offered, burger, fries, chips with cheese and beans, hot dog, wings, chicken nuggets, and pizza. I didnt love the self-serve aspect but I get it. Also, the food was school cafeteria quality. The kids liked it but it wasnt worth the calories for me. There is also an Asian eatery by th pools that is open 12-4. It was decent food and the sushi was rather good. Although there are several tables to eat at, Asian food pool side is a little difficult the eat.
We ate at the buffet on our first night for dinner, there are no other choices without reservations, it was very lackluster for me but my husband and kids seemed to be content.
