"Staff was very kind, location was perfect and the room was clean and appeared new"

"All the staff we encountered were very polite and helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated , the bedrooms are a little bijou, a few more amenities in the room are necessary, a place to sit and style your hair, the hairdryer supplied has just enough lead to see in the full length mirror, or you have to stamd outside of the bathroom. A box of tissues is needed, and a fridge with complimentary water. All throughout the hotel was very clean, but unfortunately there is a problem with drainage, when you first enter your bedroom, you can smell the drains, , friends of ours had to move rooms because it was very strong in theirs. The breakfast room was very pleasant, pleanty of choice for bread and pastries, the cooked selection was ok, but the fried eggs were always over cooked and looked likee they had been there a long time, food just about warm. The cold meats were not good quality either, packet ham, same as the cheese. The cereals were very awkward to get to, as there were jars of seeds in front of them, coffee machine on side and the tinned fruit selection to tje other, this area definitely needed some extra space. You are a short walk to the circle line, and around a 10-15 minute walk to.Picadilly line."

"The check-in is tediously long. The rooms are quite warm. The hotel is a little bit rundown, but it’s OK. If you’re expecting vending machines ice machine, machines, laundry anything like that this is not the hotel for you. They also do not have air-conditioning and only some of the rooms have dressers for your clothes. "

"The staff were all pleasant, especially the duty manager, Kieran. There were a few poor service issues which were quickly addressed and more than made up for. Kieran personally came to my room to apologise and suggest a resolution. All the staff we spoke to were lovely, the doorman Martino was great. Breakfast was nice, with both halal sausages & cold meats and pork sausages & bacon offered, catering to most patrons. Views over kensington gardens were awesome. The rooms were in great condition and clean. The location is great, and we ventured out via tube, driving, and walking on various days. I'd happily stay here again, and will do so in the future."

"We had a very good impression when we arrived but the maintenance of the property is simply very poor, which is a shame as the hotel looks very nice. The air conditioning didn't work, the unit was centrally controlled and you weren't able to turn down the temperature. It got really warm at night and we couldn't open the windows either. It was very uncomfortable and couldn't rest well. We also didn't have hot water to take shower on the last day - very disappointing. Not being able to get the basic amenities right simply isn't acceptable from a 4 star hotel.. Whilst Josh at the front desk was personable and friendly, I couldn't say the same about the ladies at the coffee shop, such a bad attitude and arrogance, I don't recommend spending your money there. Overal, although the location is excellent and the rooms have a nice and practical design, we wouldn't come back here as we didn't enjoy our stay."
