Wouldn’t stay there again. Water stains around the toilet…bad repairs on apparent hole in toilet door…topped off with a blackout for 3 hours…no power so no water either.

check in - told budget sold out even though I booked a room, then told o it's because I booked via third party (that shouldn't matter), they then attempted to charge me for ibis (not the budget one), I refused, and then I also ensured they were still giving me the breakfast that was on my booking, eventually I get an Ibis room rather than budget but for price I paid for the budget. Then told key card issues so I had to stay awake for 10 mins for him to do my key card once he let me in room with different card. Then in the morning try to get breakfast and told I had to pay 12 quid for it and I hadn't paid etc, and I had told them three times, eventually they let me have breakfast, absolutely farcical and a joke, really bad check in experience and general service, not a single apology and rude.

Great one night stay. Easy check in. Room clean, tidy but basic. Really missed having a kettle. The shower was one of the best I have tried- Very powerful ! A bit strange having the sink actually in the room but it worked. Staff very helpful when I found TV remote control missing and brought new one to the room. Restaurant was v busy but staff very helpful again and nothing too much bother. My visit was to attend Crufts at NEC, which was only a 10 min walk away. Definitely recommend and I shall be returning for 2024.
