I recently stayed at the Hampton and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from. But the real standout for me was the friendly staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone I encountered was helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend the Hampton for its great facilities, excellent food, and top-notch customer service.

After finding out that our train had been cancelled due to the train strikes and that we were stuck in Birmingham I proceeded to book via Expedia. I found the Hampton by Hilton online and it showed to have a queen bed and a sofa bed which was just what we needed for me my partner and our son. On arrival I was told that after taking my money that they didn't have any rooms and that I was now booked in with their sister hotel the holiday inn express snowhill. This was annoying but manageable especially under the circumstances. On arrival at the holiday inn express I was asked to pay £164.99, £10 less than I had already paid. I informed the hotel that I had already paid and was asked to prove that I had paid. This was not a problem but very annoying as I was the one being put out and yet no one seemed to want to help me. I still have no idea why I have paid for a more expensive hotel when I didn't stop there and why I was able to book said room when they didn't have it available. I would like someone to also explain why I was asked multiple times by staff members for payments when I had already paid and why I had to pay more than the actual hotel price.
Very quiet. Room was clean. However, one lift broken and the other malfunctioning so had to use stairs to and from 4th floor. No parking at all which I didn’t check before booking and not in a great area if you need to walk anywhere especially at night. After waiting ages for the lift and giving up we got down to breakfast at 9.50am to find there was no food left. No pasties, no continental breakfast, no hot meat items; just scrambled eggs, toast and hash browns very disappointed by this breakfast as the service, choice and availability were disappointing. Staff were fine but given the price and quality we would expect by this chain, overall wouldn’t stay here again.
