"Absolutley the worst hotel ever. Stole my money, overcharged me for rooms, double charged me at the bar and restraunt. Then when we complained, we were escorted out of hotel by police. They then kicked my mother out of the overcharged room. Who is 69 year old cancer patient. The most horrible experience. I have contacted attorney to sue foe theft."

"I was very happy with this stay the staff was friendly, our room was very clean and maintained throughout our visit. There was coffee available all day long in the dining area. Every morning they served a great breakfast which was different and free every day. This will definitely be a go to hotel for future trips to San Antonio."

"The fact that it is a historic hotel right next to the Alamo is nice but some amenities could be updated and still keep the Crockett appeal. The bed was comfortable but the carpet could be updated. The bathroom could use a refresh on the faucets; the bathtub faucet never stopped dripping and the closet was roomy but old sliding doors. The staff was friendly but feel that when we asked about parking, we were told the valet was the cheapest option at $49 per day. When walking around the area, found a public parking lot around the corner that was much less costly than valet. "

"A bit of an older property but has been kept clean. Check in was easy. Parking was a bit confusing. Compact. I was able to get a space but not sure where I would’ve had to park if I didn’t get the front. Close to the riverwalk."

"Under construction so not very safe. Valet was not worth it. Called prior to booking to ask about extra deposits or charges and they said no but once checking in they asked for a deposit."

"Great location right on the river walk. Our room was very comfortable with a juliet balcony facing the river. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. My only complaint is the background music in the lobby, restaurant and bar was much too loud for comfortable conversation. When asked, they did turn it down slightly, but it was still too loud. "

"Overall experience started from the valet which set the rest of the mood. I had reserved three rooms expecting 3 car valet spaces, which we did get but you must expect that each car must have a different phone number which became a big deal with the valet staff. Their communication is poor and seemed inexperienced. Then we proceeded to check in. We reserved 2 of the 3 rooms specifically with River view. Following the advertisment and paying an extra fee, we expected to see the River. One room had no river view at all and the other was a small partial. See the pic attached that is advertised and received as “River view”. The second is a corner piece of the River and the pool was directly in front. It really was pool view rather than River which made the noise of screaming kids from inside the pool impossible to rest. When we presented the situation to the staff, they offered nothing in return; not even a credit of any kind for the extra we paid for the River view. Make sure you know what you’re getting before paying because that is what you’ll be stuck with. That was our experience. Hope you have a better one. "
