"A great historical hotel to stay in while visiting Gruene. Loved the decor. Our room was comfortable. Loved the big shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night. Already planning to stay for a return trip to the area."

"Enjoyed my stay. Room is small and to the point. Bed was very soft and comfy. The bedding was comfy. Shower was hot and to the point. I don’t love have glass wall showers but it did the job. I thinking having the option to go tubing or kayaking out back is awesome. The lobby is simple. Easy parking. You have to check-in in person. I stayed in the pecks building and it was extremely loud cause of the highway close by. I had earplugs and even with them it was so loud. The place is basic. I’d stay again for the river options out back."

"I thought everything was OK except for breakfast. They really don’t offer much of a breakfast, or at least what I like for breakfast. I like a hot breakfast with eggs, either sausage or bacon, or biscuits and gravy something like that. I’m not in a cold cereal or a hard boiled egg or a waffle. So I went without eating breakfast there."

"Everything was nice. The refrigerator in our room wasn't working but they got us taken care of right away! All staff was wonderful and so friendly! Breakfast was a bit limited but decent. All in all it was a pleasant comfortable 3 night stay!"
