"Located convenientlly for Chester city centre, close to the Eastgate wall. Not too far from either the railway station or bus terminal if travelling by public transport. Stayed over bank holiday weekend for a wedding at the Town Hall with the reception away from the city. If have large or heavy luggage, there are some steps into the hotel. I offered to assist one guest who was leaving whilst I was waiting to check in. Property could do with some care & attention with flacking paint. The shelf above the room toilet had marks/peeled paint. Didn’t look like the room windows had been cleaned for a while, & anyway are closed shut. Did not use the catering facilities."

"Lovely building and very classic in style. Very professional and friendly staff too. I’d stay again but some little things can be improved. The room I was in (1310 yet weirdly not on the 13th floor) needed more electrical outlets. USB outlets are pretty standard now. Better quality tea and coffee in the room too. "

"Breakfast was good. Allowed for variations. For example scrambled egg on toast in place of egg benedict. Croissants tray and fruit slices could be replenished when empty more frequently. Rated this stay as 9/10. If breakfast was 100% replenished i would rate as 10/ 10 Location fabulous. - short walk 10 mins through park to get to town Clealiness of room and room amenities excellent. Staff friendliness and quality of service excellent. Security of car park excellent As mentioned overall rating 9.5 / 10 Would stay again Would recommend to others"

" The room was very clean and tidy, and I’ve stayed at the property several times before, my last visit being in February, always receiving exceptional service. The Abode is my ho to hotel in Chester. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the check-in experience was not up to the usual standard and was quite disappointing. I also found the staff member to be rude and not at all helpful, which negatively impacted my overall experience."

"I have stayed at Inglewood Manor many times. The grounds are spectacular and a true "heaven" after a hard day’s work. Rooms are outstanding and clean with firm mattresses that are just right for me. WiFi was OK. However, service this stay was a let down. At check-in, there was an issue with my Expedia VIP voucher. I find it frustrating that Expedia advertises these if the hotel doesn't honor them. I got frustrated because of the principle of being promised something. The staff member eventually offered their own 20% food and drink voucher, but he should have led with that to avoid the frustration. That evening, I wanted to eat on the garden patio. Reception didn't know if I could have restaurant meals there and couldn't be asked to find out, telling me to ask the bar. The young bartender looked at me blankly, said he didn't know, and just pointed out the lounge. When I repeated I wanted to eat outside, he finally said he would find out. I took my drink and waited, but no one ever came back. Since I had my laptop out, I wasn't going to pack everything up to ask again, so I went to bed without dinner. Breakfast was good and staff there were friendly. At check-out, I was told the voucher should have been given to the restaurant. They discounted the drink but not breakfast, claiming it "wasn't at their restaurant." It is not about a measly few pounds, but the principle. I love staying here, but the staff were very hit and miss this time."
