"Having stayed at several Taj properties in India and Dubai, Taj has always been our preferred hotel brand. Unfortunately, Taj Lands End didn’t quite meet the standards we’ve come to expect. Check-in was disappointing, with confusion over room allocations and repeated requests to resolve matters. The rooms were comfortable but looked tired, and we weren’t informed about ongoing renovations. The hotel has excellent amenities, including the lovely convenience of being able to purchase fresh flowers. The food was very good, and some staff were exceptional. Senior management were attentive and responsive. The entrance and lift staff were wonderful — always welcoming, smiling and asking about our day. Housekeeping were also excellent. However, service was inconsistent. Some junior staff appeared inexperienced, and one pool attendant was particularly rude. The small touches that make Taj special were missing — proactive service, attention to detail and making guests feel genuinely valued. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but it lacked the warmth, polish and consistency we’ve experienced at other Taj hotels. With some improvements, this could be an exceptional property."

"I had a single, budget room for 3 nights and would recommend staying there. The budget, single room itself was small and a little tired (the Mumbai heat and humidity have caused trouble with some laminate surfaces), but it was spotlessly clean, had a wide range of tea and coffee, good toiletries and good aircon. Great value for money. The breakfast buffet was great - a wide range of food - cereal, fruit, Indian staples, omlette, waffles, doughnuts and dosa, tea and coffee, juices, etc.. Location is ideal - about a 10 minute walk from CSMT, about 20 minutes from Gateway of India, the Aqua line to the airport is about 2 minutes away. However, the standout reason to stay at this hotel are the staff! They could not be any friendlier or happy to help. My laundry was collected within minutes of me asking, a member of staff saw me struggle with the door lock and came and sorted it out for me, the guys on the desk gave great restaurant recommendations, the lounge staff brought bottles of water and offers of tea and coffee if you so much as glanced at a seat.... They worked really well as a team, and genuinely seemed happy to have you stay with them. Recommended!"
