"Such a pleasure staying in a historical hotel"

"Well they do charge for parking. There’s that. I guess since they are downtown San Antonio. Or you can frantically look for parking on the street that you have to pay for but free on Sunday. Quaint location, I must say with short walking distance to everything. Banks, the Alamo, food, shopping, the river walk, other hotels. Came during spring break so I kind of understood waiting an hour to check in with long line in the lobby and no one at valet to pick up cars. Guess their parking was maxed out. Front desk with one person and house keeping tried their best to keep up. The place was not dirty but not spotless at the same time. Beds and furniture very comfy with big wide windows to get a good view of city at night. A full kitchen setup with lots of small necessities like paper towels and utensils. Bare minimum towels in the bathroom however, but enough soaps. "

"We had a reservation here but unfortunately I ended up in the hospital right before the trip and was unable to travel. Expedia was willing to either refund the stay or move the reservation to a later date so that neither we nor the motel would lose money. They even contacted the motel directly on our behalf. Despite the circumstances and the reasonable options offered, the motel refused to work with us at all. Because of that, we not only had to deal with an unexpected hospital visit and medical bills, but we also had to pay for a room we never even set foot in. We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable — we were simply hoping to reschedule the stay so everyone would be treated fairly. It was very disappointing that the motel chose not to show any flexibility or understanding in this situation "

"Very close to The Alamo, restaurants and the River Walk. Valet parking was great. Staff super friendly. "

"Great hotel suite for a quick weekend family get away. The wife and two teenagers had lots fun! Very clean suite and had no issues with our stay. Lots of stuff to do nearby: Alamo, Riverwalk, shopping, and restaurants. Was easy to get to downtown and valet parking made everything a breeze. "
