Marriott expands Courtyard brand in Mexico

Continuing its ongoing international expansion, Marriott International has announced that it will be opening a new Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Mexico City early next year.
The new property will be located conveniently across form the Benito Juarez International Airport, which is particularly attractive to business travelers whose time needs to be economized.
"As one of the busiest, most populous cities in the world, Mexico City is a premier travel destination in Latin America, and we are thrilled to introduced the Courtyard by Marriott brand to Mexico's capital," Laurent de Kousemaeker, a chief development officer at the hotel group, said in a statement. "The Courtyard positioning and business model has had tremendous success throughout Mexico and Central America, and we look forward to continued growth throughout the region."
This hotel will be Marriott International's 18th property in the country across five of its brands, seven of which are Courtyards. Indians who are members of the company's rewards program will be able to build and redeem points at this new property, as well as at more than 3,500 of its hotels around the world.
