“A classy hotel”

Regent is a fabulous hotel in a great location, but some building works in nearby plots are very noisy, making use of the pool terrace quite unpleasant...a faint noise could be heard in my room which was facing this work., but I did not find that too problematic once the curtain was drawn. Perhaps stays in this hotel should be postponed until after the noisy work is completed. The rooms and general condition of the hotel are very nice, but the pool is tiny and quite disappointing. Staff throughout the hotel were exceedingly helpful.

Wow! The nicest touch was the avaiuability of a shower and clean up / change of clothing after leaving the hotel in the morning and picking your bags up for the airport in the evening.

Very impressed that the hotel let me use the changing rooms to freshen up before going to the airport on the last day, even though i had already checked out.

We went there as a family while my husband was on business. Wonderful friendly staff, couldn't do more to help. Amazing restaurants in the hotel!! I was sad to leave. I was always greeted by name with a big friendly smile. European hotels could really learn a lot from these people!!!

“Brilliant stay - the staff make it what it is”

We were on a 1 night stopover in Singapore for our honeymoon. We got upgraded from superior to deluxe and given a cake as a surprise. The only downside was the view from the room which was looking at a crane. The decor of the hallways were quite tired and could do with revamping. The staff were EXCELLENT!,,, very friendly and helpful, they made our experience very special ,

“Excellent service continues 12 years on”

The quality of service was exceptional. Even though I arrived at 10am, much earlier than my check-in time, the receptionist (Justine) went to every effort to try and get me a room then and there, so that I could freshen up and head for my meetings. The location of the hotel is excellent for tourist, and can be useful for business travellers too, despite not being in the CBD area.

Our 2nd stay here and would definitely stay here again. On our afternoon arrival our room was not ready but on our return from an outing we had been upgraded to a superb suite at no extra charge as it would give us (2 parents plus son in 20's) more room. All surrounding rooms and corridor on that side of our floor were being redecorated and re-carpeted and our suite certainly looked fresh. Work was being done without noise or trouble. L'Occitane bathroom toiletries..mmm!Staff everywhere excellent-very helpful with any information required. Within walking distance of Orchard Rd metro station plus shopping, also botanic gardens. Food in hotel looked good quality but pricey. However there are good places to eat along lane at side of hotel where there is also food court and supermarket in small Tanglin Mall. For great cheap but tasty lunch choices try food court in basement of ION Orchard Rd. Nice pool and fitness suite which can be used to refresh before onward flights. Word I would use to describe this hotel-serene.

A good hotel that is close to Orchard Road. The major downer for this hotel is that, for a four star, it does not have free wi-fi. Everywhere else I've travelled (in developing countries), the hotels have free wi-fi.

Our room was freezing, because the temperature control didn't work. So had two options, no air con stuffy or freezing. To have a local beer by the pool is too expensive to enjoy (SGD16.50 or about GBP9)

“Good 5 star hotel in Singapore”

A good quality hotel I have used many times before. The standards of service are good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are a bit small and breakfast in the main restaurant can be a bit fraught due to the number of guests trying to eat at the same time. For a more relaxed atmosphere, try to Club facility on the 11th floor. The rooms cost a bit more but are worth it
