Great Location and great views. We fully enjoyed the experience and Service. The breakfast served in the room was great and so was the complementary hike to Imerovigli, with breakfast there was great. Something to note, is that they is a good climb up and down to the rooms, so one should be aware of this. I understand that its for the views but just a thing to note. Amazing Service and Location :)

The location, hotel and the outstanding services made our trip memorable and the experience so worthwhile. The Alta Mare staff made sure that everything was so perfect and catered to all our needs. Their hospitality is beyond extraordinary! The room was perfectly kept clean and smelling great every time we returned. The breakfast was amazing and we were provided many varieties to choose from. We stayed in the executive suite (Ismini) and the view of caldera on our veranda was so magnificent. The sauna was very relaxing and overlooked the caldera. It even has private access to the pool. Everything about this hotel is outstanding! Highly recommended if you want an experience of a lifetime!

Wish I were there...
We didn't get the room we booked, which was a huge bummer because we were drawn to the idea of having direct access to the infinity pool from our room's private deck. When we arrived, the property was closed for renovation, so we called the number on the reservation and someone came to get us immediately. Andronis is a big player in Santorini, so they led us to their 5-star boutique hotel just a few yards over and gave us a very nice cave room there with a private spa. Breakfast was fantastic! Views might have been better at the room we had originally booked, but the upgraded room itself was much more spacious and came with 5-star hotel service. Would have been nice to have known beforehand that the originally booked property was going to be unavailable though cause when you're paying over $300 a night for a specific room with specific amenities you and your spouse wanted to specifically enjoy on a trip you spent a lot of time and money to enjoy...you get the picture...

Alta Mare by Andronis SPOILED US! I don’t even know where to start?! The location of this hotel is in the perfect spot of Oia, where you can get that perfect, famous, memorable picture of the white houses and blue crown tops with the beautiful Caldera view! We stayed in ANDROMACHI room, with a private pool tucked away with a unforgettable view. The best hospitality I have ever received from any hotel and staff. ANDREAS you’re the man!!! He made our trip so extra that we may just stay here forever. If you want to be treated like spoiled, over the top with care and love, this is the only hotel I would recommend and stay in Santorini, Oia. The decor and architecture was so beautiful, every day we wake up it’s like your in a dream! The spa is amazing and so relaxing. The BEST part of it all is the breakfast.... the food is so fresh, so good, they deserve an award! Greek yogurt with fresh fruits, nuts and honey was to die for! They also had such a huge variety of options that they allow you to pick what ever you desire, from eggs to fresh baked goods. 10 styles of coffee. Frsh Fruits, fresh juices and so much more! We were extremely happy and overwhelmed by how great Alta Mare by Andronis was that it felt like you were living a dream. The experience was unforgettable and it was WORTH IT ALL! We will definitely be back and will stay here every time we are in Santorini. I just can’t get enough. Excellence is not an act but a habit! This is what they do!!!

Incredible hotel and views in Oia!
Amazing hotel and views!! We stayed in the Exclusive Suite, and it is everything you have ever pictured about Santorini. The hotel and its service are well worth the money.

Little gem
The photos on the website and the reviews online don’t do this hotel justice. It’s understated and classy. Expect thoughtful touches at every turn (bottle of wine and fruit plate upon arrival, limoncello next to your bed every night) and decadent breakfasts. Santorini is overrun with tourists and Alta Mare was quiet and the perfect respite from it all.

ANDRONIS Group gave the Best service ever...All the girls in the front desk were extremely accomodating Niferteli, Afroditi, Spyros ( I'm so sorry I didn't get all your name ladies and I hope I'm spelling it correctly) and excellent Hotel driver Ariel. It was an experience we would never forget. The hotel manager was hospitable as well....Thank you for the upgrade to Suite Pythia we Love it!

We celebrated our honeymoon in Athens, Fira, and Oia and our stay at the Alta Mare was the highlight of our trip! Great location in Oia and the room was nice and clean with large bathroom. Our breakfast was delivered to our private balcony every morning and we loved taking advantage of our private hot tub. The main infinity pool also offered amazing views. The staff was very friendly and helped to arrange transfers to the port and helped with all of our baggage which was key due to all of the stairs needed to get to the room and main reception desk. The location was perfect right in the middle of all of the action in Oia and short walk down to sunset point and Ammoudi Bay.

Excellent hotel, staff, room with amazing views. Breakfast on balcony. Hot tub on terrace with caldera view. Welcome bottle of wine, cheese and fruits. Pools can be a bit of a walk with many steps but worth it. Thank you George and staff for amazing experience.

When we arrived for a night in santorini we were welcomed by Giorgio. He immediately helped to plan our stay as we were in oia for a short time. We were given refreshments as we checked in. When we arrived to our room it had a sitting area and a large bedroom and bathroom. The balcony had a spectacular view overlooking the water. The added bonus was an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. Shortly after reaching our room we received welcome drinks, a bottle of wine and both sweet and savory bites. After a wonderful evening in oia, we relaxed in the jacuzzi and the night sky of santorini. The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast before heading to Paros. It was a night we will always remember and hope to one day return.

Great location with great views
From the moment we got there we were kindly greeted and given a delicious sangria. Everyone of the employees constantly had a smile on their faces and went beyond to make sure we were taken care of. There were about 40 steps which didnt phase us one bit and is totally worth the privacy and views from our room. The breakfast on our balcony was so relaxing and enjoyable. Would definitely come back here when in santorini. Thank you Alta Mare!

Five amazing nights at Alta Mare!!
My wife and I just returned from the most amazing Greece vacation. We spent 5 nights of our vacation at the Alta Mare and absolutely loved it!! To start, the staff there is unbelievable, from the check-in process and throughout our stay everyone we encountered was super friendly. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed while staying at their property! The best part about our time there..........hands down the daily breakfast served on the patio overlooking the caldera. I don't think it is even possible to have a more spectacular morning view!!! The room was nicely sized and the bed super comfortable. While the pool was small and private, we were also allowed to use the larger pool at the next door Andronis property. We can't wait to go back!!

Magical stay
Andronis has a few properties that are all knitted together like a magical little village on the cliffs of Oia, Santorini. Each of the rooms have a balcony, delicious breakfast served right to your room every morning and the entire property is super clean and bright. We also had a private whirlpool in our unit and a second balcony in the Alta Mar, so I felt extra special. The compact pool areas are delightful and efficient. The staff will tend to your every need no matter where you are on the property. Guests mingle with each other, stay in their rooms or walk the town of Oia, which in it's own right is gorgeous. You can be as social or secluded as you want and the staff will respect your wishes. I would recommend that you bring comfortable shoes to go up and down the stairs. Like everything in Santorini, they are original and there are many of them. We counted 55 steps to get up and down from our room, but they were worth it! There are vista and views to stop and admire if you need to catch your breath. The staff works very hard and delivers an exceptional service. It's a very special destination, on a very special island. You won't be disappointed at the Andronis.

Fabulous, quirky and homely Hotel
Wasn't sure what to expect, although feedback looked exciting!So unusual, the cave like apartments , which had luxury, innovation, comfort seclusion but also the availability to have breakfast and meet with other clients. we had the use of the Alta Mare swimming pool, which again was amazing! We had the luxury of a balcony with a Hot Tub. The vista was out of this world. The Alta Mare is part of the Andronis Hotel, therefore I was able to sort out manicure and pedicure with the lovely Pauvlina, whilst my husband enjoyed a massage. we also enjoyed a meal at the wonderful cliff top restaurant for our anniversary! We had the wonderful Panos, who was our man for our stay, who was there for us to solve any problems, arrange any excursions, arrange any room service and sort all the breakfasts. the chef and house maid were fabulous too!

We just got back from our honeymoon and stayed at Alta Mare for two nights while in Oia. This was the best stay of our honeymoon in Greece. The location is perfect. The views are amazing and service was impeccable. Panos manages the property and was amazing! He made us reservations, made sure our private jacuzzi was perfect, made us breakfast (which was so fresh) every morning. He even made sure that we had our ferry tickets to mykonos and personally got it for us so ensure we don't get stuck in Santorini. I absolutely loved staying here and will be back one day. Thank you Alta Mare and Panos for making our stay in Oia just perfect!

Hidden gem
Great hotel, difficult to find but worth it. There are many hotels crammed into the cliffs of oia offering similar views and private balconies, however beyond that there are many differences. Alta mare offers 5 star service at 3 star pricing, but gives you full access to the facilities of it's big sister hotels including spa, pool and restaurants. The service offered by Panos makes the stay worth twice the price. Being small (only seven rooms) you are welcomed by name on all occasion and not a room number. Rooms are decorated sparsely but to a high standard. A wealth of quality products are provided in the bathroom.

My wife and I just returned from our Honeymoon to Santornini and stayed for a week long at the Alte Mare in Oia. From the moment we got off the plane, we were greeted with amazing service coordinated by the hotel. Once we arrived we could not believe how stunning the views were from the hotel! Our room at the Alte Mare was spacious and comfortable and we were fortunate to have our own cave jacuzzi! The service provided by our host, Panos, was first class! We were served breakfast every morning to enjoy in our room or on our balcony. We spent our days lounging by the unique cave pool while Panos made his exceptional cocktails! Panos even helped plan all of our dinner reservations, a sunset cruise, and day trip to Fira and Perissa Beach. Another advantage to staying at the Alte Mare was access to the other two Adronis properties for our stay. We did venture Adronis pool but felt that a larger hotel with more staff did not compare to the service at a smaller boutique hotel like the Alte Mare. The Alte Mare and the amazing service from the staff, most particularly Panos, made our Honeymoon one of the most memorable trips of our lives! We can not thank them enough and we would happily return and will recommend the Alte Mare to others!

Oia, the hotel, the rooms and the view... It was so unreal. The hotel is hard to reach because it's on the edge and taxis can't get close enough but once that is sorted, it is absolutely magical.

The hotel is under renovation. They upgraded us to the nearby Andronis Boutique Hotel . Staff is super helpful, and the overall service is at the highest level.

Hotel incrível! Quarto maravilhoso, tudo muito limpo, cama super confortável... Localização muito boa. O staff todo é maravilhoso, muito prestativo e sempre animado! Café da manhã sensacional! Super recomendo esse hotel!!! A localização é a melhor de Oia, acesso a carros bem perto, e o staff ajudou com as malas. Um ponto importante é que o hotel é pequeno e super privado! Ao contrário de muitos hotéis em Oia, ele não fica exposto para as ruas, então você consegue super aproveitar o hotel, a piscina e a piscina privativa sem que o pessoal que passa na rua fique observando.
