Very dirty with coach roaches in the buffet . Street noise so loud you couldn’t sleep, it was a nightmare. Toilets were not even cleaned , who knows if the sheets were washed. Just say no !! Don’t stay here !!!

Staff is good, breakfast buffet is best in San Jose but features are worn out. Carpeting in rooms are nasty, the beds are old and nasty it’s been neglected as if new owners have taken over or they just don’t care to maintain or upgrade. It’s gross and all the rooms feel dirty and worn out. Every room needs new hvac, new flooring, new drapes, new paint, new beds, it all needs to be gutted.

I have never been treated so badly in my life! The restaurant staff was AWESOME though, especially Arturo. The manager and the rest of the staff were unfriendly and guarded the place like it was a prison facility. Always checking me everytime I walked in to make sure I was staying there. I put up with that for 1 day and then checked out. Awful parking arrangements, getting in and out was always a task. I will never set food in a Wyndham Hotel again! I was visiting a friend and was not able to even sit in my room and have a conversation with him." The Manager" whoever he was, belittled me in front of my friend and the staff standing there with no clearly understood explanation why I was being treated this way.. It was clear that I was not happy there. I left and found a great new place to stay, with friendly helpful staff who appreciated my stay at the Park Inn.. I have been all over the world traveling and have never been treated so bad and been so unhappy as I was there.

Located in downtown San Jose but the hotel is outdated & needs improvements. The photos are misleading...the lounge/bar area is nice but rooms need updating. The breakfast was amazing..plenty of options & great coffee!!

Very friendly staff, easy check in and had a good breakfast. Stayed for one night en route to Arenal. Everything was great and as pictured, however the hotel had a bit of a funny smell. Not overpowering, but that’s my only complaint.

At check in it seemed their person who checked us in was training. We had dinner at the hotel and the waiter was overworked and the bar was understocked. The waiter was very attentive in the beginning but then was alone and had to deal with the other tables herself. We asked for our check and it took 30+ mins and we finally just thought to leave and have the room charged. The front desk called to ask if they could come up and take a card payment. This had to happen since a credit card was not asked for at check in. Also I called Expedia and confirmed with them before booking that free airport shuttle was offered and they said yes. The hotel actually offers the shuttle at certain times. I was told there would be no charge and that was incorrect. Online it says the shuttle starts at 6am and they wanted to take us at 4am.

I liked the sunrise view but I didn’t like the fact it hat there was black mold in the shower grout. It took several days for me to figure out why my eyes and nose were irritated and I found the mold after 2 days of staying there. It had irritated my throat as well. Black mold is very dangerous to my respiratory system.

the food in the breakfast is not international. and no vegetables at all. i asked for 1 tomato, and they answer is not in the breakfast menu and i have to pay for the tomato. for an hotel serving 3 meals a day, was surprizing they dont have 1 tomato for a passenger staying in the hotel 6 consecutives nights. they wanted to charge me 500 colones, almost 1 dollar for 1 tomato. the towels are little o big. no way with the little to rapp my head after washing. i asked for a big towel, and they bring a big one for the body, not big enough for a grow up, maybe for a 12 years old child, those are the only two sizes they have. very dessapointed. the employes very polite and try to help.

It was advertised on Travelocity that this hotel offered free airport shuttle. I, however, had to pay $30 (USD) for the shuttle. So either the hotel scammed me or Travelocity informed me wrong.

This hotel was okay. Nothing over the top. The all you can eat buffet do not have much variety. I am a vegan so I found it difficult to eat anything beside fruits and rice. Rice is to heavy for me in the morning. I asked for grits I received oatmeal that was cooked right. They tried... I guess. The staffs weren’t to friendly. Our key cards stop working a couple of times. That got very annoying after we had to get three new cards back to back.

The all you can eat buffet do not have much choices. I am a vegan so there wasn’t much I could have eat beside fruits and rice. Rice is too heavy for me for breakfast. The stafffs were okay. They didn’t go above and beyond. They weren’t too friendly or enthusiastic about anything. They weren’t warm or welcoming at all. That was okay with us we interacted with them as little as possible. We did have issues with our keys. They stop working and we were stuck down stairs a couple of times. Overall this hotel is okay. I expected more since I use Wyndham hotels to travel a lot. This hotel was just okay.

Location was important . Parking across the street was perfect. Staff at front desk very nice and helpful. Restaurant staff amazing, besides the food being great. In general was a amazing stay, very secure, clean, comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel

Hotel was nice and pleasant , defiantly look to see if they have one at my next place of travel. Disliked the fact that room service wasn’t open all night however . Don’t know if it was because that’s how they do it at the country I visited but other then that it was great everyone was freindly .

Good option for a few days in the San Jose area
Stayed here 4 nights over 4 separate bookings due to a package tour that used this hotel as it’s home base—we stayed on extra night on our own for more time in San Jose. Reception staff was always friendly and informative. Rooms were large and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was substantial and of a high quality. We had drinks and hors d’oeurves in the bar one evening. The snack portions were small and they may have overcharged us for our wine, but we did not press the issue. Why are there no wash cloths in the bathroom? Rooms on upper floors are nicer for the view over the neighboring building to the west. Busy streets with lots of cars and trucks going by all the time. The traffic is quite noisy and can be heard in rooms, but didn’t bother our sleep, so it must have quieted down at night. There are some restaurants, ATMs and convenience stores nearby. The museum of Costa Rican art in the old airport control tower building is beautiful and free! The walk into central San Jose is doable within 20-30 minutes. We felt safe walking about the streets. Would stay at this property again, although there appear to be other hotels in San Jose with a lot more character for the same or less money.
