“Great b&b in a great location”

Lovely room, air con was superb, and needed to be in 35 degrees+. The owner, despite being unable to speak English was a delight and made us feel very welcome. His breakfast was also delicious. I would recommend this to anyone, as long as you can manage 4 flights of stairs! A charming b&b!

“Great location with excellent host!”

Benito is an excellent host! He waited for us outside the B&B on our arrival as there isn't much clear signage. He makes breakfast everyday at the time of your choosing. Room was fine with two twin beds. Shower was a bit small but adequate. Warning, there are stairs up to the B&B so if you have very heavy luggage be prepared. Other than that, great location, great stay, and would definitely recommend and return!

“Mixed feelings”

If you want a well located b & b close to Pisa's main attractions, then this hotel would suit. We found the entrance difficult to find, as it has a regular front door, and no obvious sign on the outside. The hotel was identifiable by the hotel name next to the doorbell. We arrived at midday and rang the bell, no reply. This went on for about 15 minutes before there was a greeting from an upstairs window. The host then came down and let us in. He appeared to speak little or no English, but we communicated via my relatively fluent Spanish and rudimentary Italian. It may have proven difficult for a non English speaker, although I have read other reviews which don't comment on this. The room was quaint, but it had a small bathroom. The toliet was squeezed behind the small shower cabin, with barely enough room to sit down on the loo, except slightly askew. Breakfast was a somewhat 'unique' affair. We had a choice of either an 8am or 9am sitting. We shared the table with some other English speaking guests. The host then began serving us coffee and pastries. He then brought bread, ham and cheese to the table, followed by figs. Felt like a family breakfast. If you want a more typical Italian experience, then it may be for you. If you prefer to serve yourself, then no. Finally, although reserving our room with my credit card, the owner insisted on cash, not credit card. I had to go to the cashpoint and this came as quite a surprise. Take this into account if you stay here.
