“the latham, new yorks best budget hotel, would stay again.”

like we have said that the latham hotel is a budget hotel but five star service, central location second to none, the staff go the extra mile for their guests and pride themselves on their customer service, we had a great stay and would stay here again, so thanks guys for looking after us.

It was perfect for me as a person travelling on my own, it was basic but the staff were really friendly and it was very near to everything so easy for me to get home in the evening on my own. the room was quiet and clean. I would recommend it for a short stay but not a long one. probably best to pay extra and have en-suite bathroom which is what I did.

At first it wasn't all that but i don't know why people are complaining, as long as you have a private bath thats all you need. if you're visiting for leisure then i would recommend this as a very cheap hotel as you're only gonna be in this room just to sleep and shower why would you want anything more there are plenty of hot dog and bagel places. the club wasnt that bad and the other residences of the building (kids and their families) were very friendly, just say its your first visit and they are nice. also try to get a low floor room as the lift is scary and very SLOW as my partner and i always took the stairs. overall it was a great experience and wouldn't ask for anything better unless i had the money but i would go back again

After reading some the reviews on this hotel we were a bit unsure and just hoped that it was ok to stay in In fact in ended up being perfect. I went armed with my ear plugs as I heard it was very noisy however we were on the 5th floor and I didnt hear a peep. I went armed with my bug spray as well and again not one bite. The room was perfect we chose the shared bathroom option and it was always very clean and never had to wait to use it. While the room was huge it was fine to walk around and fit our two suitcases on the floor left open and still walk around. In our room we had a massive wardrobe as well which we could have kept them if we wanted to. You also were provided with complimentary tolietries and even though we shared a bathroom we had a sink in our room which was helpful. You were provided with clean towels and face cloths each day and the bed was made up. We arrived at 1.30pm in the afternoon but check in was not until 3pm however they let us check in early without charging us any extra and it was not a problem. This was fab so we could get out and look around straight away making the most of our time in NY.I would so stay again and even request the same room I am not sure what the other people were complaining about it but if you book a hostel thats what you will get and this hotel is value for money. I would so stay here again and have already recommended this place to others back in the UK.

“it was Great Value for Money .”

The Latham Hotel was great value for money & defo would stay there again.the place was in an ideal location,cracking diner around the corner for breakfast etc .right beside empire state buliding.Towels etc were changed everyday ,quiet aswell,people have complained in the past about it taking in homeless but they was not a problem never seen anything ,it was secure enough & I tested the rooms ,leaving tempting things behind,when i went out, but all there when i returned,room was bit cold ,but sec guy came up straight away & fixed it( the radiator ).clean ,comfortable & defo would go back ...lift was rubbish like but i was only on the 3rd floor ...you only get what you pay for & it certainly was much better then I expected.Roll on my next Holiday ...

“excellent location”

it's not glamorous, it's got character, reception staff excellent, the room was fine, bed linen clean and fresh, downside was shared bathroom, but no problem with access, facilities clean and lots of hot water. low cost hotel, bed comfortable and since most of your time is spent enjoying manhattan if you don't need somewhere posh to stay, this hotel suits.

“Great staff!!!!”

My mother and i had such a great time in New York - and the main reason the Latham was so godd was the staff ! The hotel was rather oldand needed some work, but the staff were so welcoming, they made us feel comfortable. Also, our maid who cleaned our room was lovely.

“Good budget New York Hotel Central Location”

This was a good budget hotel in a location central to most things you would want to do in New York. The room was basic but cleaned every day. The room and the bathroom was always well stocked with complimentaries. The shared bathroom worked well much to our surprise. As a cheap hotel we did not expect much, but got a lot better than we thought we would. We would find it hard to give any negative comments about this hotel. We would definately use this hotel again when we next visit New York

“Excellent location - couldn't have asked for better”

The hotel itself isn't up to much and isn't really a hotel, more a hostel. In saying that though, I would stay there again as it's location is perfect. The room was cleaned every day and the staff were very helpful. When in New York, a decent bed is all that matters and this hotel meets that requirement. As the old saying goes "if you want 4 star, you have to pay 4 star". I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will definitely be back.
