Fantastic location, fantastic building.
After a warm welcome from a 10pm train arrival (which they were more than happy to accommodate) we were shown to our room. The house is a typical French building with many floors and fantastic decor. The rooms have a lovely little hall and are fantastically decorated, plenty of space and comfy beds. We were treated to a surprise clean room three days into our stay with sheets totally changed and the washing up done! Air con, fridge, microwave and kettle all worked fine; didn't get round to using the coffee machine! Beautiful city and would stay there again.

close to train station, clean and lovely
It is a 5mins walk from the train station, very thoughtful of the owner with the detergent, sponge for cleaning and towel. The microwave was a bit difficult to use our lunch box was melted, just a reminder to the others . Only downsize would be the toilet, its small.

When a hotel isn't....
This is not a hotel but a room in a somewhat run-down building. That said, the room itself was recently renovated, well-appointed with a small kitchenette and quiet even if close to the train station. There was no hotel service (not being a hotel) although the manager took the trouble to pick me up from the train station (which was required because you would NEVER find it on your own). All in all a good stay, although I felt a bit cheated because it was not a hotel yet priced like one.

Excellent b&b
Excellent boutique bed and breakfast in the heart of Montpellier. Room was immaculate and very comfortable, and it was nice to have a small kitchen. The only issue is that the place has no sign or lobby. It is basically a converted apartment. So one has to be sure to get in touch with the (very friendly) staff.

An enjoyable stay in Mompellier.
I stayed at the apartment for 3 nights, the situation was good and we found arriving by train most convenient. We also walked to various restaurants and art galleries, the apartment proved to be in a good position to access shops and the station. It would have been good to have rugs on the tiled floor, the décor was rather dark and in many shades of grey! The lighting could have been better, only the window provided natural light. A longer wardrobe would provide more storage space along with a few more hangers! A bedside table would also be an improvement. The owner was very pleasant and we were given extra pillows which we asked for. The bed was a good size and comfortable.

All you need in a lovely city.
A friendly welcome from the owner, quite easy to find; clean and self-contained apartment/hotel-type room in an old building but with benefit of fridge, microwave, hob and kitchen-sink. It was an ideal location for catching trams and trains; close to station but we did not find noise intrusive. There was the convenience of a Carrefour and a pharmacy within a couple of hundred metres; main area of city centre 10 minutes walk. Not much natural light in apartment/room as backing onto high-walled garden.

Cellar rooms near station
Technically not a hotel but 3 rooms in the basement of an old apartment building. 2 of which have kitchens, not viewed, and our room which contained a small fridge, m/wave, kettle, toaster and crockery / cutlery, enough for our needs. The bathroom was snug but well presented, with a heated towel rail, compulsory due to lack of ventilation. Bed was adequate but pillows were thin, as seems to be the norm in France, if less than 5 star accomodation. The biggest bonus is the location for easy access to the train station, without teeth jarring noise of train movement due to subterranean site. Short stay only recommended.

Very nice and clean room with a reasonable price. The location near the railway station was great, we enjoyed our stay there.
