Business stay with my daughter
When we arrived, I was told at the desk that there was no reservation for us. Then he checked again after I said it was paid for and verified. That was a little frightening and off putting. The hotel itself was lovely, full of antiques and art. There is construction ongoing behind the hotel which is very loud and makes it difficult to get a good night's rest. I love the Roma Norte area which offers lots of great places to eat and have cocktails but would recommend checking to see if construction is still ongoing before booking.

What's unique is that it's a one of a kind, converted mansion with quirky decor and high ceilings in biggish rooms. Bed and bathroom fine but overall, the building feels run-down and certain things like steam room are not working. Staff not especially friendly or helpful -- for ex., they only deal with 1 taxi company and couldn't order us a cab from another company to the airport!! Also, really bad street noise from truck delivering water or gas (?) that had loud pumping noise for an hour or two at odd hours, as late as 10:30pm and as early as 6:30am. I would not stay there again or recommend it to others.

Good option for Roma
Great location, friendly staff. A bit noisy from the street but this is Mexico City after all, so get used to it! Otherwise I recommend this as a place to stay in Roma.

This hotel has a wonderful old-world charm with high-ceilinged rooms and a large bathroom. The staff was considerate and the location was excellent. Our only complaint was the mattress was quite hard and obviously quite old (but the bed linens were crisp and clean,) The owners should really upgrade the mattresses.

A charming, historical property in a great location. There is no elevator, so you must carry your bags up a flight of stairs. All of the staff were pleasant and accommodating, although they didn't seem to know that much about the area in terms of directions. Our room was quite chilly, but they did provide a heavy blanket and were immediately responsive about our request for extra pillows.

This is a charming hotel in a decent location. The rooms need updating, but the hotel is aware of that. My room was large, with a huge bathtub, but there were very limited electric sockets to charge or use electronic equipment. So I would only stay there, if I got a superior room that was away from the main Street, Calle Durango, which can be noisy.

Great location. Very clean. Lovely staff. Perfect for exploring CDMX on a reasonable budget. Wish they had a bar to hang out in when you don’t feel like heading out. We’ve stayed here twice.

The property has that "old world charm", with lots of relics and artwork. All staff members were cordial and helpful. It was convenient to sign up for tours, directly from the hotel. The breakfast area was nice, yummy foods and the service good :) Would stay again.

Old place not good
This place was not comfortable, the bathroom felt like grandmas house, no shelves nothing modern about the entire place. The corners have dirt piles, they clean but the place is just very very old.

Nice hotel and friendly staff
Nice hotel in Roma with friendly staff and interesting antique decor. It is an older building with typical older building issues like drafty rooms and no elevator. There weren’t a ton of food options immediately nearby and the breakfast offered by the hotel was minimal. That said we really liked this hotel and would recommend it to others visiting Mexico City.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. When we had a problem with the air conditioning they changed our room immediately. The room was kept spotless. Great location. Excellent cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as a really good bakery with French pastries and a very classy deli around the corner - as well as a convenience store across the street. The hotel has a lot of 'character' and is charming but do not expect a modern luxury hotel. We found it really enjoyable for our 5 night stay.

We had six nights here and both the hotel and the staff were perfect for us. All of the staff were welcoming, professional and dealt with questions as required. They organised a driver and a car for us on a couple of occasions to visit Teotihuacan and Frida Kahlo's house. The driver Martine was excellent. Breakfast was good and gave a good variety for a simple Continental. The room was "traditional" if a bit old fashioned, but was comfortable, clean and a decent size.

Charming hotel a bit pricy
The hotel is very nice, old fashion furniture and deco. However a little bit of refreshment of the walls, windows could be appreciated. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast didn’t look good.

Great location. Quiet rooms. Helpful staff. A welcoming guest parlor! We had 2 short flights of stairs to our room but there are several ground floor rooms. You can get custom eggs with breakfast. The most wonderful, traditional doorman service. Lovely art and decor throughout!

Great boutique hotel - helpful bilingual staff
The rooms were spacious and well decorated. The staff spoke English and were very helpful, professional and friendly. The hotel was cozy and had a good breakfast. Location was great. In the heart of Condessa. Very convenient to get around. There is a cafe and dining options right outside the front door. Only suggestion I would have is to have a 24 station in the breakfast room or an in-room station for coffee and tea.
