This is an unusual hotel as it also includes a retirement/convalescent complex so the residents are mostly very elderly - if you happen to see them. Having said that, the hotel is well appointed offering free wifi (although you have to get a voucher from the reception), two restaurants (one looks directly onto Lake Geneva close by) as well as a small fitness centre and indoor swimming pool. Although located in Territet so 30 minutes walk from Montreux railway station and the main restaurants, this is a very pleasant stroll as there is a promenade around the lake all the way and with stunning views - or you can get the 201 trolley bus from the station steps to Eaudine (right outside the hotel - NB coins only for the ticket machine on the bus). Chillon castle (and a small beach) are about the same distance further round the lake (and also on the same bus route). Our room was modestly sized but well appointed, quiet and comfortable - and had its own air conditioning unit which was useful when the outside temperature reached over 30c. The star feature was undoubtedly the genuine warmth, frendliness and assistance from the reception staff - nothing seemed too much trouble.
