"A Hotel to stay at."
The hotel is well situated and very quiet. The rooms are delightfully furnished and are of a very good quality. The restaurant is well run with efficient and polite waitresses. The breakfast buffet is extensive and caters for all tastes and everyones dietary requirements. We had two evening meals in the restaurant. They were cooked to perfection and also presented beautifully on the plate. A touch of the cordon bleu was certainlyh evident. The staff in every department of the hotel were polite, helpful and a delight to deal with. Our weekend was superb and we will certainly return for a further stay.

"nice guest house"
A charming little guest house with very freindly and helpful owners. Rooms are compact but spotless. Fresh cooked breakfasts were served at the tables and very pleasant. We tried to book on our homeward journey but it was full - not surprising. Car parking was a bit of an issue but the owners really do thier best to be helpful. highly recomnended - quite and peaceful

"No restaurant"
One of our reasons for choosing this hotel was because it had a restaurant and bar. As their website says at the end of a day's walking you just want to relax. There was no restaurant!! This apparently closed in APRIL. A big disappointment. Our room had a tiny television (approx 20") standing on a very small table about 1 ft off the ground. The only comfortable way to watch it would be to sit on the floor! A third negative (and potentially dangerous) aspect was the use of paper bath mats. The potential for slipping as one climbed out of the bath was enormous especially as there was no handrail. My husband and I had to help eachother out of the bath/shower and we are fit and able.

"An Anniversary Break"
This was a few days away in order to celebrate our wedding anniversary (26th). The staff at the hotel were first class, very welcoming and made special and unexpectedly kind arrangements for our special day. Having a late afternoon tea every day was a real treat. The food in the restaurant was excellent albeit there was need to supplement the "mains" by additional side orders. The room was absolutely first class, extremely comfortable and could not have been bettered.
