“Excellent base for tourism”

The hotel has character, good parking, an excellent restaurant, comfortable lounge and helpful staff - and welcomed dogs! The room was a reasonable size but the bathroom was somewhat compact.

We were very happy with the comfort, cleanliness and location of the hotel, but the breakfast buffet could be improved. We didn't eat the cooked breakfast, but the continental choices were pretty unimpressive for £10 per head.

“A comfortable, quiet stay.”

It was a very comfortable room and very clean. We were at the back of the hotel so although the view wasn't brilliant it was very quiet. The staff were helpful and polite. We were on a room only stay so cannot comment on the food but the restaurant certainly looked clean and inviting. We had no problems parking the car in the carpark behind the hotel either.
