All basic needs were met and we had a comfortable 3 nights here before going on to the Rockies.

Arrived for a 4 day conference. The area around the hotel is clean and safe, but not very pretty. A few minutes drive into Vancouver city centre takes you through some nasty areas, but I saw no indication of this anywhere near the hotel. Service was very good considering the hotel classification: directions, assistance, advice, ordering taxis, etc: all done with a smile and with efficiency. The free wifi internet was stable and fast in my room and in the bar. The hotel is above a bar, but no noise reached into the hotel room. The bar is fairly lively in the evenings, but still makes a good place for a post work or dinner drink. The bar is where breakfast is served in the morning: simple but well cooked. My room overlooked the main road, and road noise would be a problem for most (though not for me): ask for a room away from the road. A taxi into town during rush hour was CAD 20 - 25 and the bus is CAD 2.50. Both buses and taxis were clean and safe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a budget hotel in Vancouver.

Fine if you just want a night in vancouver- room was comfortable with 2 queen beds and clean but all slightly worn.Road outside was very noisy.
